Server 2123 will be shutdown today. As for the private server matter.
We found allot of people willing to donate but where unable to get a good response for a playerbase.
It is decided that we will rekindle the flames when the standalone gets out. Hopefully this standalone will provide us with better game play less bugs and decent protection against hackers.
We hope to see the old guard again and all the new players attracted by it on TL TS and on our server.

Hot shit. I logged back in, found someone at devils with a mil offroad, got there too late and had to chase him to NWA. He went to a chopper crash where another helo landed with another circling....i fired a shot with 107 and dropped him....from the open! Ran into trees, escaped M240's and as50's and made it out. Was one of the core guys.

I'm playing on a private hive passworded server at the moment. Saw a single AS50 last night, then later died to it. I was on like <2000 blood, so I didn't really mind.
Also saw the server chopper, if only I had a sniper rifle...

Hmm, maybe too far north. I know the dayzdb map cuts off before there, might be "outside the playable area" and so it got reset.

I hope this is appropriate and not seen as a shameless plug, sorry if so, but i purposely do this to entice you back to an awesome game in a decent server, our server has been around for a long time just like yours was, but yours is gone and we're private now, join us!
Guys, as your servers has been shutdown and the idea of a private hive fell through, i thought i would inform you of the one my clan currently hosts.
Its been up 2 days (we switched from official to private due to known issues) and our playerbase has switched over, we have about ~10 active members on each night along with randoms who pop on.
Our admins (me included, somewhat) are determined to keep this place hacker free and hacked/duped items free too. We want a fair and fun experience for all (no dickweeds allowed either.) We have an anticheat thats monitored and updated as and when we can and script improvements worked on daily to increase performance and stability for everyone to provide a good gaming experience. Im not sure on the details but i know we have 3 chopper spawns and additional vehicle spawns so that it promotes more gunfighting and not "one team hogs all" - there is plenty for everyone.
We have a public teamspeak available to any who would join us, but what i really come here for is competition, we're all banded together, i want a rival group on our server. I challenge the old vet's of TL's servers to return to Dayz and our server, and start all out war with us.
Organise yourselves on our server, Use our teamspeak and whatnot if you wish (instead of TL's, but i wont post them here) and lets kick eachothers asses! With you all im sure the daily playerbase would skyrocket and the game would be immensely fun.

Where are the helicopter spawns?
EDIT: my game gets stuck on waiting for host when trying to join, is there a ping limit? im averaging 130

The server I've been playing on has implemented something that prevents the mass teleport hacks. Still get the odd crazy ass weapons in the game, like AA guns, but no mass killings.

Its good post mate, you provide the few still playing with a properly administrated server just like we did.
Allot of us have either no time, found new games or are just pissed/bored of the mod Day-Z.
If we feel like it, we probably could set up some raids we will see.
We will be back for the standalone and TL willing there will be an TL server again.
Tough my greatest fear for the standalone is that this shit will happen all over again.
It will run on an Arma engine and the same mod team is in charge. Which as you know let the game degenerate into .. i dont know what to call it realy.
