Some other guy (not dj i think?) also spawned in another chopper, had a gunner with him, also flew the helicopter into the ground, got out and killed me with a makarov with an infinite magazine.
Was just at the crashsite the feared wolf and Cloud was lying there dead, i dont know if the feared wolf is a hacker but one of those helis might be legit.

One of the crash sites was near kamyshovo and the other was in skalisty. The feared wolf mustve been the gunner that died when the helicopter crashed.

I think the best way to experience Day Z is to play by yourself for at least 1-2 days. You wont appreciate being in a group or being given easy weapons till then.
You have a very steep learning curve ahead of you, but thats what makes Day Z so fun. There are also lots of guides/maps that you can google to help yourself get started. I found this map to be a haven for me while I was learning how to play, and I still use it till now: http://dayzdb.com/map#3.118.084

This one's pretty good, it won't teach you the interface but it'll give you a good idea on how to start out.
As for interface, a lot of actions are performed by using mouse scroll to select something you want to do. For example looting a stack: scroll over it and go to "gear" and then move items by pressing the little arrows next to the name. Also you have a backpack! If you click open bag you can now move items into the bag.
GL, don't give it up too early because it's getting really good once you get used to the interface!

If u want a good tutorial regarding the game mechanics itself do the tutorial for arma 2. Its not perfect but better than jumping straight in and not knowing ANYTHING about buttons.
So I was riding a bike from Pustoshka to Zelenogorsk when I saw smoke coming from north-western side of the forest surrounding Green Mountain. Mind you, there was a crashed heli there, and just as I approached it I heard shots. After a couple of minutes hiding in the bushes, I spotted a guy near the wrecked helicopter.
He was wearing ghillie suit and had a sniper rifle. I thought I had a 1911 so I tried to shoot him, turned out the weapon I had was a Makarov. The guy tried to flank me, then he started throwing grenades at me, then just as I was about to leave the bushes, BOOM I took a bullet to the head. Well I think it was a headshot because I went from 12000 hp to -31000 or something like that. Nice gun, comrade.

You had to have left a server and re-joined or joined another.
The stuff that happened never got saved to the main server, and so it was like it never happened.

Man you only need to sneak in starry and at northwest airfield, in big towns like cherno and elektro you just go rambo style and that is where you LEARN TO KITE.
The first time i played dayz i played with slow motion and the first thing we did was get chased by 50 zombies on our way north.
Step by step guide to lose zombies.
1. Get zombies chasing you 2 a. Run into a pine tree (zombies lose aggro of you when you are inside a pine tree.) 2 b. Run though a building with 2 exits (zombies will follow you inside the building and walk slow thus losing aggro) 3. ??? 4. Profit.

I usually find at crash sites or office buildings. Considering they have such a low spawn rate, it's almost a disservice not to look everywhere you can.
