Yeah I've seen this, and to be honest it looks a bit fishy (2 out of 20 false-positives), but I think with work it could be quite good. Automated banning is bad, but automated kicking would be quite nice, I think I'll wait and see how it goes but I don't have the time to edit it myself for just kicks atm. | ||

Came here to post this as well. I think with some closer looks at the code and probably tweaking it as needed it could be really useful. Also it was 2 possible false positives, perhaps after more investigating they turned out to be banned correctly (or maybe not). Hopefully it continues to improve and it really makes a difference. | ||

Frankly, by now I'd prefer being kicked off a server the moment a hacker joins, rather than being randomly killed/teleported every other game I play. Is there a list of what the new battleeye version can catch and what it can't, by the way? | ||

He is getting alot of up votes and positive feedback. I'm sure there is a way to contact him directly. He answers question in the reddit thread. I think I played for about 3 hours and only saw 1 suspicious thing. To basically have a thread on reddit saying I have this in place to stop hacking is a invitation for people to try. He is also one of the listed servers. Ill play on it some more to see if anything pops up 3hrs is kind of a small sample size. It could be promising though. At this point I just like the experience to not be interrupted. There was a alot of retarts yesterday more than I ever seen. Could have been a bad day. Either way could be something useful to look into. I think people just want the TL servers to be safe as possible. So I hope these suggestions don't bother. In the end it is your server to run. It just sucks seeing it go down for the rest of the night like last night. | ||

We restart every time we see a hack, and also one of the automated ones overlapped with it anyway. I'll work with him on the google code project, I don't have a reddit account. | ||

Invoice paid 11/08 First overdue notice 13/08, says 72 hours until server is disabled Server disabled 13/08 Second overdue notice 14/08, says 48 hours until server is disabled I'm not paying next month, this shit is ridiculous 382 is up and running again (apparently) because I put in a ticket on the 10th when my server was actually disabled, even though the invoice should have been on the 19th. | ||

After consulting with some of the DayZ guys, we've concluded it would be difficult for a script kiddie to run a script on another player and have the script kiddie not be detected...but it is possible through some nefarious means. If you feel this problem outweighs the benefits of using my solution, then by all means, avoid it until it is better. :p Yeah, here is probably the best way to contact me for now. Either that or through the project's Google Code page somehow. | ||
