ORIGINAL GAME
DO NOT STEAL
We started thinking about doing a zombie game last year and began developing a quest-based MMO
quest based MMO
dohoohhohohohooh
also
players will be able to purchase things that will help save time, such as reviving their character in normal mode, buying slightly more effective food, hydration packs, medkits, etc. To get those things they will need to spend Gold Coins
LOL
So you have to buy the game, and then it throws a pay to win cash shop at you. Classy move.

I enjoy his gameplay with his squad very good team communication. Kinda reminds me running around with Spartacus. See, they use compass and it's interesting. It would be so much boring if they had a marker.

I'm getting stuck on loading on TL server, can't get in. I join other servers just fine. Is there any trick to fixing this?

Are you sure you and the server are on the right patch? Sometimes that happens.

I love riding around on bicycles, rolling through towns ringing the bell, trying to avoid people shooting me.. good fun.

Yep, v1.7.2.3, I'm using Six launcher to update the game.

Wow I was just reading about this game!
I don't know what to say about it. I'll probably try it out but I have my doubts. What makes DayZ so good is Rocket has a direction and isn't to giving in changing its direction. Which is why I like the game. The bugs hurt it but it is alpha.
WarZ seems more MMOish which might not be a bad thing. Though I did read missions for worlds! Kill x amount of zombies kinda thing to have 100% of said world unlocked. Safe Zones I suppose could work. No mention of vehicles at all.
I think the combat will be a big thing. Arma 2 allows for realistic combat. You don't just come in and recreate that. Well they said beta at around end of summer so I will be tuning into streams to see what its about when that happens.

I do not know, and have no real conclusive evidence, but I feel heli crash sites can occur in any area of open ground, or at least have very loosely defined positioning.
agreed pretty sure the DB map removed heli crash sites cause people are finding more and more non listed spawns seems they can be on any patch of grass that a heli can fit on
also i completely agree with TBspartacus regarding map waypoints. If you have a compass and a map open in a browser, it's not hard to navigate anyways.
just more convenient to waypoint something.
arguing that it breaks immersion is quite ridiculous when you think of all of the ways immersion is already broken in far less obvious ways.
dont look ANY information on the internet regarding the game because in a real world zombie apocalypse there will be no internet forum where people share tips and tricks about how to survive... also no respawning...ever. you bought the game, entered into the apocalypse and died... you cant login anymore.
also i am rofling at the people trying to steal the dayz concept... and put a pricetag on it and then putting a pay to win system in it... what a joke.
people like dayz because it is difficult to learn/play... if rocket put pay to win in dayz most people would quit instantly.

That's the issue really. Them saying they dont like Arma since it's a "military sim" basically screams that it's going to have arcadey combat. Add that in with a quest based system, and a cash shop and...well...not too excited.

Yea I imagine a system where a 50.cal will not kill you in one shot everytime kind of CODish.

Seems like a casual DayZ that will suck because its going to be a quest based mmo.

ya seems like a more noob-friendly DayZ. also i dont like the idea of leveling up and such. part of what makes DayZ so awsome, is that its so damn hard and the skillcap is so high..but at the same time you are not put at a disadvantage simply because your character isnt as old as his...
i dont like the idea of leveling up abilities in a game like DayZ "o i would have killed him but he is 50 lvls higher and his medical skills are 20x mine so he healed up more between shots then i could" blahblahblah type stuff

Plus DayZ is not one of those games where I want someone to be rezzed instantly after I kill them because they spent $5 in a fucking item store or something. :|

Yeah I like a lack of levelling, the fact that random guy with an enfield and one bullet can end your life even when you have every item in the game is pretty nice.

around the 15 min mark.
Rocket says he is working on the ALT+F4 issue this week.
Right now he is looking at a way to track basically server hopping. Quickly hopping from one server to another server for a better spot to then log back in. If you do so it will put a timer on your respawn he didnt say how long it would be.

Still playing solo to enjoy the learning curve.
Got an alice pack full of survival supplies, and AKM with 3 clips and a revolver. Really glad the AKM ammo is bugged and refills on login :D I've had this setup for a day and a half now and died a few times, but managed to get back to my gear each time. About 4 bandit kills and half a dozen murders... good times
I am most proud that I finally went looking for food to hunt and cooked some food! It was a poor rabbit, but he tasted lovely.
What is the best strategy for hunting game? My "run around the woods and hope find something" isn't the best lol.. do you have to sneak or is there a spot of heavy concentration? Playing solo it's important I can cook a few steaks after a pvp fight.

Well rocket at some point said he wanted to use to humanity system as a way to acquire skills and such.
Just small buffs that only stay with your character until he dies. I'm not sure if he still wants to do that considering the humanity system is moot atm.
For finding animals go north they all migrate there to get away from all the shitheads in the coastal cities. They farm animals spawn in grass fields and boars spawn in forests, although they are more rare. Wabbits can be found anywhere and are clientside so others can't see them.

Hot spots are probably all 3 of the airfields with the NE airfield being the quietest, Stary Sabor tents, Berezino, Cherno, and Elektro. Those are probably all the biggest hot spots. You can find people in zelonogorsk a decent amount of the time too.
