The l85 is a good gun to scout with. So in groups it works wonders but it kinda sucks at..well just about everything else lol
Oh really? I expected it to be fairly handy at short / mid ranges given the wiki description. Still, pretty handy to spot for snipes!
Yeah it has an effective range to about 400 meters but since it has zeroing it takes away from it. Think of it as a want to be sniper rifle that has the accuracy of a rifle. For instance you can zero to 500 meters and be inaccurate. The thermal scope is what makes the gun. Short ranges zeroing to 100 meters just makes it shoot soooo high. So aiming at the guys feet kinda sucks.

Some of the most fun ive had in DayZ so far. Got crazy when people started logging in right in front of us and logging in outisde the barn to try to kill us... they underestimated that we had 4 well geared people tho lolol.

Can someone explain to me how to aim with the M16A2 M203 launcher? Tried to hit someone in the middle of a field with an HE round earlier but I didn't know how to aim it. I ended up getting pretty close just guesstimating, but any precise methods would be nice.

I think if you go into the Armory, or one of the training missions (Sorry, can't remember which one) there's a segment with grenade launchers.

Yeah the armoury is great for testing out everything, I mean learn to fly and drive, they're actually surprisingly hard

flash light is pretty useful in the beginning, as long as u know how to avoid zombies its not that hard to do stuff. Just throw flares everywhere if you have nothing and suddenly everything becomes easier. I had 20 zombies chasing me and easily avoided them and not to mention if you know how to distract zombies by throwing cans / flares not only do they not aggro on you but you can see stuff. So fucking done. I bet there have been more and more reports of hackers involved in the game but today I met one in person. First my friend was trying to scout novy sobor and suddenly someone was behind him yelling "dont kill me dont kill me dont kill me", then my friend shoots 8 ammo with L8 to the head and this fucking retard draws m9sd and kills him with one shot. Then he says " I told you so".
After this I was respawning since I got sniped earlier and was running towards novy sobor to maybe get some gear back but no. Meanwhile I was at blackforest this same fucking hacker caught me, less than 2mins from my friends kill, do the math, he starts saying "I wont kill you, wait please.." and keeps repeating it. Then I stop and run circle him and he tries to shoot me and I am trying to speak to him and I ask "do you get somekind sick satisfaction from cheating in a video game?" Now he starts shooting more and yelling" YOU MAD BRO YOU MAD BRO".
