The T34/85 annihilates infantry after the patch to increase accuracy; try comparing that one to the panther. Uh, the T34 vs. Infantry compared to a Panther vs. Infantry? That's a huge win for the panther. Have you ever used infantry to blow up a panther? It doesn't work. You will lose every single squad. T34 on the other hand will get shot down by three groups of infantry. You also mentioned that looking at them in isolation is my problem yet you set an example based in isolation. If you look at the overall of the t34 and the panther the gap becomes even larger. You can do this with every tank against the panther except the ISU-152 which is the only one comparable to the current panther. SU-85 is decent against panthers but utterly horrendous against infantry. Anything other tank that isn't an IS-2 or ISU-152 isn't even worth building against panthers. Not even to ram them. The only downside of the panther is that it's expensive. It's far too all around and not situational at all. I have to build different tanks depending on the composition, he can just build panthers. They're not unbeatable (unless you still only have infantry, good luck) but it takes a lot more micro.

They're not unbeatable (unless you still only have infantry, good luck) but it takes a lot more micro. I'd attribute the infantry versus tanks German winning and Soviet not because Germans have infantry AT weapons like panzershrecks while the Soviets have PTRS (and these are doctrine specific). If your shock troops loot a panzershreck you can wreck German vehicles just as easily as a Pgren wrecks your vehicles. The SU-85 makes up for this though; Elephants are stronger, but SU-85 is a cheap and effective tank destroyer. With it's obscene range you can't even take it out. This is also why the IS-2 and ISU-152 are so good. Their range is their biggest strength despite having weaker stats for heavy tanks. There are differences between the T34/85 and the standard T34/76. The 85 shoots HE rounds which make it much stronger versus infantry much like the IS-2 or the ISU-152 which also fire HE rounds. The T34s don't have the front armor of a panther so of course they'd lose to it one on one, but that isn't the purpose of the Soviet arsenal. If you play Soviet like you play German you're going to lose the game. Different race, different play style. Your tanks aren't front line sponges as Soviet. The Germans don't have variety right now because the stug got overnerfed to the point where it is useless. It is so expensive now that it isn't worth picking up, much like the IS2 and the KV8 relationship.

Basically in a legit high level 1v1 Germans never win unless the Soviet player just completely fucks up or the German player is significantly better by huge margins. 4 Conscript/Molotov = > Scout Car openings basically ruin everything a German player can field early, and combine Scout Car with Sniper you can harass and MP bleed Germans into the ground to the point where they will essentially have nothing come midgame.

Clown car is just the worst designed thing in this game. Dunno who had the idea of having snipers still retain 100% accuracy while in a moving vehicle. Too bad it doesn't work near as well in team games. They should just introduce mirror matches to be quite honest.

I only played 1-2 hours in the beta. We had terrible connection problems and a lot of crashes... Did they fix that?

The game is still using the same peer to peer connections that were in vcoh and their dawn of war titles so I'd expect the connection issues and crashes to remain.

May be i should wait a few month until threr is a discount on steam? Can anyone please give a final review for it because i am not going to trust a review from metaric or gamespot. Thanks What reasons would you not buy it? The big nail why you wouldn't want to pick it up are lack of dedicated severs (Noun has posted on official forums that there are also no plans to implement dedicated servers). There are also lack of stats/leaderboards, but I imagine that will get fixed eventually (or a third party will intervene). You may want to wait a few days to see how these DLC/CE edition commanders turn out as well. If they turn out to be pay to win then there is gonna be a huge uproar. The E3 code possibly being exclusive already has peoples panties in a bunch. Apparently you can buy all the Pre-order/CE edition commands for $3 each ^_^

I personally didn't have 1 crash or any connection problems, but I didn't start playing until a week after the beta started (might have been 2 weeks).

Well i just loaded the game up for the first time, ran a performance test (the performance, BTW, is terrible. Its the first game i have EVER played which doesn't run smoothly on my computer) and afterwards the game crashed to desktop. Good start :\

And if you have no idea what to do, its just no fun at all. I find that this is exactly why I like it so much. You don't have to worry about economy management so much that you can actually think a lot while playing and make good moves. Also its just much more relaxed overall.
