It lacks in almost every way, and the gameplay itself is a major step down from its (over 10 year old) previous games. AAA is a measure of money put into a project =p learn to use the term correctly. It signifies a class of games in which cost of production is over X amount of dollars(i think now of days somewhere above 8mil) it used to mean just made by an approved publisher to a system but that no longer holds significance to quality of game, due to consolidation of publishers and formation into subsidiaries. It's a term used to apply to upcoming titles in order as a broad description of probably quality. On March 12 2013 04:33 skyR wrote: Are you kidding? I think natural disasters in this game are retarded. A dinosaur just walked through 2 of 3 Trading HQ buildings and I have to bulldoze the entire fucking thing down which is like 1mil. An earthquake took my pop down from 440k to 380k and I have yet to get that back. Earthquake is def more consistently a bad nat disaster to occur. Anyways Nat disasters is a mainstay of the series it keeps things a bit honest and adds a little bit of random to building a city which is even more important now due to the removal of terraforming. That being said sometimes you just get ruined by one. EA deserves all the shit they got for always-on DRM screwing over their launch and disrupting the play experience, but the game is pretty enjoyable once you get into it and can play. Even if it's not your cup of tea or you prefer previous installments of SimCity, calling it a $60 "Facebook" game is just dumb. It has way more depth than any Facebook game. After playing it I would say a $40 price tag would probably be more appropriate, but I understand why they didn't go for that.

Once those are finished, the game will be very nice to play. Its different from simcity 4, yes. But its enjoyable and also difficult in its own way.

If theres no symmetry in your roads, then they will continue using that dirt road as opposed to the avenue. The gridlock and commute problem will always exist, in reality and Sim City... Sim City 4 had sims take the most "direct" route, which was worse as it didn't make sense.

The deluxe would include some signature structures such as Big Bell and Effiel tower etc... Also the nature disaster will do very little damage to your city unlike previous games. I got Zombie, UFO, Earth Quake on one of my city and still processing well. You gets zombie cos there are lots of germs in your city, try to build a hospital and clean it up, beware that the maintainance for hospital is very high, it may screw your budget. Second time I quote you to say there are 3 versions. Standard, Limited and Deluxe. There IS a standard version. Just go look in amazon uk you have the limited and the standard there (~54 and ~37£ respectively). ![]()

Just not Sim City. I'm really wondering if that means that you simply cannot buy the game in India anymore now. That would be hilarious.

But i think its pretty obvious in this case. This is also almost top-down view, barely any perspective in this. ![]()

On March 12 2013 07:37 Disregard wrote: They should factor commute times and density within the algorithm, since they do have a data system for that. Then the sims might utilize all the roads accordingly. I don't think traffic or vehicle accidents occur in Sim City 2013. Contrary to SC4 where it occurs frequently, which was pretty humorous. I think there is a glitch though where vehicles get stuck on each other when one wants to turn left and one wants to turn right when they are on the same road going in the same direction the 2 or 3 wide roads. I've seen it 3 times i've had to restart the instance when it's happened to clear it up. SC2013 problems with traffics is much more visibly pronounced because now each car is it's own vs just an simulation of the road. And it's not always take shortest rout they take an alternative rout when possible if both sides of the road are red not just one side which is not usually how traffic occurs. And that is insufficient as it just fills up another street trying to get to the same spot somewhere on the totally gridlocked road so it just grid locks more routs to the same place. At the moment i avoid certain things high capacity gambling dens and high density commercial buildings. High density commercial buildings kill you so bad in traffic, they only accept 1 car at a time in or out and they can take so many cars it creates a point on the road where cars want to all go but the flow rate is so low that it creates traffic. I also break up where commercial buildings are placed concentrating them also causes traffic problems. The idea i build roads around is to break up places of interest to try to spread the traffic out. Although even then there are still sometimes where traffic occurs for various reasons, such as U turns at intersections so either you have to flood the area with intersections or place buildings as to not encourages u turns.
