This has happened to me like ten times. I had the "Your city is not processing properly" yesterday, had it happen like 4 times. Was pretty annoying, finally decided to just let my city run for a day w/o doing anything to it, and it processed fine after that.

The indie / low budget market is thriving so you really have no reason to complain about pricing at the moment when there are some really fantastic games out there for less than $10-20 on release.
Problem is, SimCity 2013 is NOT a AAA game.
It lacks in almost every way, and the gameplay itself is a major step down from its (over 10 year old) previous games.

Idk where all your expenses are coming from. $26k in the red an hours? I think you might be building way too much unnecessary stuff.

i think the game kinda scales in difficulkty depending on population. At the start you can easily have 8k in the green with not thzat many houses.
Then people think "WOW im rich" and build a lot of stuff thy dont need.
And then they go to higher populations and the game gets harder and the useless stuff they build earlier eats all their income. Then one skyscraper is getting abandoned and suddenly they have negative income.
Btw, a maxis guy on twitter said that they are looking into casinos, it seems to be too wonky to get them make profits, except for the gambling hall.
Also, half mycity still isnt spawning any shoopers, getting frustrated.

Are you importing resources from global markets? Check your budget screen (click money at the bottom of the screen) for the biggest expenses.

Lack of terra-forming might have to do with the DRM, calculations might be too much for server load to handle. I don't know the extent of how much of the game is dedicated on cloud but noticing a lot of people utterly frustrated due to the constraint it has on their already small city size.
They can always avoid starting up somewhere else but nonetheless, its a feature that is pretty much a given.

Plateaued at 360k pop )= no space to handle sewage, water, power, or anything for that matter.
My great works project won't update even though I've spent over 30+ mil on importing televisions and coal to smelt alloy -__-
gg my giant traffic problem, saves me from needing more than one fire and police station lol since everything just burns down anyways
Going to be a sad panda when my resources run out ._.

yeah, they disabled the updating on "join game"...
so, traffic is really broken, my sims take the longer congested route, even when its at red. (most of them want to go to the northern map, they do this route even when it becomes red)

Thanks, that was my first city, so now i'm thinking my mistakes was I upgrade "ALL" my streets at once. That was the city I abandon. I was just asking so I can see what it looked liked when someone takes over.
It's my 2nd city that for the life of me I can understand what happen. It was stable for months with 3k/hr. Started playing with stadiums, what at one point was got me almost a $1,000,000 bank. Then out of the blue my city just want 3k/hr to -7/hr. And I didn't do anything. I was keeping the town small-ish 50-75k pop so it would stay stable.

A friend of mine just bnought the game. He wouldn't even heard about the game without the scandal (he's pretty much a non gamer these days) but he remembered good old simcity and wanted this.
Bad publicity is good publicity I guess!
I'm really happy though! He's back to gaming :D - thank you EA!

The townhall doesn't dictate your population fyi. If your only income is tax than that would be your problem probably. You can live off tax income for a long time but once you need to start adding on more utility and services than tax alone won't be enough to sustain the city. You need another source of income like exporting ore / coal / oil, tourism, etc.
Upgrading roads all at one time shouldn't be an issue, you just need to have the infrastructure (or the funds to upgrade it) to support the pending increase in population from the road upgrades.
3k/hr is extremely low to start off. I generally average 15k/hr off tax alone for sub 100k population portion of the game. You might be adding too many services or your taxes are just too low?

I think when you upgrade a lot very quickly the new buildings go into a queue to be constructed. I had city were all the commercial went down for upgrade all at once and people were out of jobs and things to spend their money on. It eventually went back to normal. That same city fell when I decided to keep cheetah speed on and went out for 2 hours. A lot of people died that day.
Also note that education lowers the rate of sickness and fires.

with all the skepticism i was holding off but coudlnt resist. i havnt had any problems with it, granted i've only had one sitting. the first map after restarting it was gone, i hope the last city i worked on is not deleted but no biggie, still learning process.
i havnt had any problem with traffic as others have reported, then again i'm doing everything in squares like old school. i tried with circles and they dont draw as i want to and curvy roads seem to waste a lot of space unless its plopped down accurately leaving rooms for development.
i have maxis and dr. vu (super hero vs villian i think), is this universal for everyone? i got standard, not deluxe version. i also got attacked by zombies lol

Low, I thought 3k/hr was ok-ish? When I say a stable for long time, I mean I would leave the game in window mode for plus 20mins or so, only coming back to start another concert, or knock down the few builds that needed. It's why I keeps my pop low and my main goal was just to keep the game going. It's why I think that given enough time, your encon will just tank. Either a bug, or as a way to force the player to always keep building up or die.

Its just marketing that EA name the game that way. The deluxe would include some signature structures such as Big Bell and Effiel tower etc...
Also the nature disaster will do very little damage to your city unlike previous games. I got Zombie, UFO, Earth Quake on one of my city and still processing well. You gets zombie cos there are lots of germs in your city, try to build a hospital and clean it up, beware that the maintainance for hospital is very high, it may screw your budget.

Are you kidding? I think natural disasters in this game are retarded. A dinosaur just walked through 2 of 3 Trading HQ buildings and I have to bulldoze the entire fucking thing down which is like 1mil. An earthquake took my pop down from 440k to 380k and I have yet to get that back.
