i really want to get rid of some bus stops. The streetcars are awesome, they just zoom zoom around with their 200 capacity. i wish my firetrucks would just use the streetcars line.

I wish my casinos couldn't generate 1000 taxis out of no where clogging up my streets.

Guillaume Pierre @MaxisGuillaume @Bjartr @colinlim1988 Everything you do in the city is also done on the server, so everything is synchronized with the other cities O.O That explains a lot. Richard Hordijk @Riess88 @MaxisGuillaume Loving the game. Is it possible to only let one firetruck etc. go to an incident instead of 24? If not will this be added? Guillaume Pierre @MaxisGuillaume @Riess88 That's something we're working on ![]()

I have empty streetcars coming in to each station every few seconds from each direction, yet people stand around and increase the average waittime to 1 hour instead of 1 minute, making all the other sims ignoring my masstransit.

+ Can play whenever you want, offline + Much larger map + Modding-ability (just go to Simtropolis) + Competent pathing for Sims (no herding for emergency services or mass transit) + Better modeling of income and employment. The RCI meter responds in a more "predictable" way. There's basically no chance of mass transit or emergency services working well in Sim 5, from seeing the herding behavior. Just remember to play in XP SP2 compatibility mode, or use SimLauncher. If we could get the Simcity 4 engine with the map size of Simcity 3000, I'd be set.

Unfortunately (?) this sim city despite it's flaws is pretty good when it's working. When you get this kind of disastrous launch in combination with a crappy game, you'd see people flip out for real.

I hope that EA will burn for this and all developers will cease this kind of crap.

Since individual Sims are modeled at a less-than-real level, you scale that up and you get a city full of WTF. As opposed to reasonably accurate statistical modeling based on real cities and the mathematics that drive real city planning. It's still fun, when you can play, because those moments of boredom get filled with "What the hell are these morons doing?!"

I still dont think im going to buy this game due to the always on line but im curious about the prices. The game is being priced way up around here (up like in the EA site 59€ and 79€) and that is just ridiculous for a pc game. Around here those are console prices only (yup I dont get it either lol) but since my gf will be in the uk this weekend, if the price is way lower (like 34£ as it was at some point on amazon), I might ask her to buy it there. So are the prices on retail stores for physical copies lower around there? Or was it just luck when I looked that day on amazon uk? Thanks.

My guess (and it seems to be relatively standard in the game industry) is that the pricing is 59 (currency units) and 79 (currency units) for the "Limited Edition" and "Digital Deluxe". Because in the US, it's $59 and $79. They just swap $ and Euro like they are the same, and in the process all of Europe gets fucked. Kind of obnoxious, really. Other companies do the same, and while I don't mind (being in the US) I can imagine how much this should piss off people who are paying ~$75 for what the US is paying $59 for - despite whatever cost of living BS someone might come up with to explain it.
