Rumor has it that Rasheed Wallace will make a comeback, and it's said that the Bulls will sign him! Even with his career low in Boston he avg'ed more than both Noah & Asik, could be a nice signing if he's in shape! :D

I know he hired a coach for it, I can't believe it took so long though.
Well that's a fairly obvious statement ;p Just think of what numbers Shaq would've posted if he hadn't been a career 50% FT shooter :D

David Lee is not two things:
1.) A True Center 2.) A mediocre defender... he's garbage on D (unless he's guarding KLove)
So yeah it is sort of a bad thing going forward with Biedrins/Lee/Udoh (gulp) as the Dubs "Big Men" so to speak.

#1 Sheed is a menace
#2. Shaq would be the GOAT if he was 70%+ on FT% (probably 6+ titles: 99, 2000-2004, 2005-2006)
#3. Dwight is trying really hard. He has imprved a lot in the NBA, and FTs are his only true weakness now (not that it is excusable).

Yeah, he's not a true center, but he's not Kwame Brown, so that alone should make up for a lot ;p Also, GSW hasn't been anything else than a mediocre team in terms of defense either, and with so few good centers in the league, I'd think that was the least worrying part :o

Menace due to his tendency to get T's? Or something else? He's a good defender and puts up decent numbers (quite good compared to the Bulls other bigs), so if one could make him shut up (easier said than done, I know), it wouldn't be a big loss in trying him out?

So I turned on to the last 5 mins of the Orlando GSW game to see Dwight shooting his 36th FT.
Holy shit.

Rick Barry says he could help Dwight Howard make 80 percent of his free throws But Magic big man would have to shoot underhanded
Shaq was once quoted by Sports Illustrated as saying he would "shoot a negative percentage before I shot like that [underhanded]." Wilt Chamberlain, another iconic big man, shot underhanded free throws for a while but stopped because, as he once wrote, "I felt like a sissy."
Dwight Howard's well adulated mother should make him shoot underhand. There would be so many mixed feelings from both Howard and his opponents if it worked.

If he just picked up T's, Sheed would be fine. He's a menace because he's lazy and sloppy, and he ends up distracting the team. He can be a good defender (if he's actually kept himself in shape, which is not a given) but it's entirely dependent on his state of mind and how concentrated he's feeling. And despite all his gifts in the post, he'd rather just shoot 3s most of the time, which can either bury opposing teams or disrupt the offense and let them back into the game.
If I were the Bulls though, I'd probably take a chance on him. It's a strong enough core and they're not exactly young and impressionable anymore, plus I'm sure he'd like to abuse the Heat's big men.

Ok, thanks for the update, didn't know too much about him bar winning the championship with Detroit and the belt-thingy he did. Anyway; if it's his work ethic and whatnot that've been the biggest problem earlier, I'm hoping he's coming back due to being motivated and has a fire to play again - not because of money! :D

Well, one factor that is against the Sheed comeback for the bulls is that they have a sick frontcourt rotation right now. If he could play the 2 then we might have something.

Kwame Brown at least has the size to markup on a Dwight Howard. Lee does not. I'm not saying Kwame Brown can shut down Howard, but David Lee has no chance ever vs a guy like Dwight Howard (or any other true big man in the game right now).

Meh, what Rondo did at the end of the 1st quarter is so horrible >_< The worst part is that what the commentator said (that Rondo has developed into a good flopper) is true for most good players.. they -develop- into good floppers, blergh :<

nice to see the bulls with a good start for once.

Its the league's fault. When they notice something like that it is too late for the refs to do something about it. They should have a replay official, and if he discovers it call a technical during the next break in play.

Yeah, I saw a clip of Open Court, the "chatting show" with Reggie Miller, C-Webb, Shaq, Sir Charles & Kenny Smith.. they had a "If I were Commish for a day" segment where Miller touched on that point exactly
.. it's probably better than Shaq's proposal on adding a penalty box where players had to fight eachother at the end of games :D

Luol Deng is eating Pierce alive!
|
Wow, the rhythm in Bulls vs. Celtics is messed up, the refs are giving out really weird calls all over the place (i.e. Rondo's trip call)
|
Okay I'm really get sick and tired of the bulls struggling in the 3rd.
|
Wow, Lebron's 3's taken is way down this year.
|
Pretty sure that was a conscious decision. Probably a good one too. But his free throws seem really bad this year.
