As good as he is, the T Wolves are still a pretty streaky team. Definitely much improved but still not a playoff team. I've been really impressed with K Love this year and am just wondering if people think he's in that superstar stratosphere or if he'd be better off as the Scottie Pippen type player. Edit: I think he's still better suited as a #2 option type player. He'd be up there as one of the top 3 type #2 option players, but I'm not completely sold on him if he were carrying my team as the #1 option.

http://espn.go.com/espnradio/play?id=7458957 If the Lakers are behind, then we'll see whether iso-Kobe can really keep up with "pass to the open man" Chris Paul. Or if he'll slowly shoot them out of the game.

LAC - DeAndre Jordan shooting foul (Derek Fisher draws the foul) LAL - Kobe Bryant makes the 16-foot two point shot. LAL - Pau Gasol misses the 15-foot jumper. LAL - Matt Barnes makes the free throw 2 of 2. What is this crap? Start demanding the ball Kobe. Vinny del negro, stop ball denying Kobe.

Well Melo isn't what you'd call genuine contender carry in the way that Kobe and Wade are. He just isn't dominant enough in different areas of the game, and his playoff performances don't even stack up to be compared to them. That said Kevin Love isn't either. Both of them are more on the Dirk level where if they are your #1 option you'd need loaded teams in terms of "what can they do" to even think about beating out guys like Kobe or Wade. Now if the question is if he's a superstar? Yes. But he just isn't the same kind of superstar/franchise/legit contender type (yet). Those kinds of players are super rare and so far I honestly believe we've only seen 6 of them since Kobe got drafted.

I made a mistake and should have said 95. The 6 are: Kevin Garnett Kobe Bryant Tim Duncan Lebron James Dwyane Wade Chris Paul Those are the only 6 guys that are All-Time level great that I consider. All of them are great on both sides of the ball, true #1 options, can facilitate and have the playoff numbers and performances to back it up. The reason Rose, Durant and Howard aren't included is that none of them come close to these guys levels at similar points in their careers. They still need more time, although I doubt they'll ever reach All-Time great level unless they make a few changes to their games. Also Rose, Durant and Howard don't compare to any of these guys in terms of quick surefire Hall of Fame status with the exception of Garnett and Kobe.

Also Steve Nash? Maybe not the best defensive player by any means, but running some of the highest efficiency playoff offense has to somehow balance that out. He is a first ballot hall of fame too.
