Really? Nothing else in the WoW lore is original to you? I let myself sink a couple years into WoW for WoLK and a little Cata, so far this expansion just looks silly to me and does not make me inclined to come back. I just don't get any of the feel of epicness that came with WoLK or Cata. For those it was like "Oh shit! The world is in dire straights unless we do something." (plus some pretty epic Villains) Now it's like, "Oh hey, look Panads!"

Of the top 5 most memorable boss kills I've had, all were during that time. World bosses were frustrating and fun at the same time, oh the joy of screwing over green dragon/kazzak raids over and over again, the long fights of attrition to see who would give up first... wasting entire nights/mornings on that shit Well uh.. there are some private servers with that content. A vanilla WoW private server is extremely active in fact - 2500 people and action going all around

But it looks almost like the target audience is now like 7 year olds. Zero potential for epicness. We all heard the guy yell out "Emerald Dream!". Why can't they just make that? Why can't they work with lore that is already in the world rather than trying to make some kind of Pixar MMO...

All I can see is "Pet Combat", which could be anything! I've seen the concept screens, it's Pokemon... Also does anyone else think it's no coincidence that WoW's biggest market is China and the next expansion is panda themed. I wonder how few people actually still play WoW in the west.

As he intro'd it, saying he'd focus on war, my interest was peaked. I'd been hoping they returned to some serious horde vs alliance shenanigans and make essentially make it major faction vs faction again. And then incomes China and pandas. Guess I'll just be buying Diablo 3 the old fashioned way. However, aside from the silliness of pandas I like a lot of the content they've shown/talked about so far. As more info is released I might give it another look since changes in their designs, other than simply need race/class/zone, are more important to lore. There's something about the right BG, city, Raid, or zone that simply gives the right vibe/feeling when being played.

This I learned the hard way...very hard way.

Actually this expansion looks pretty good. I dunno why there's so many complainers. New class, changes to dungeons look good. I might even roll a panda for fun to see what the quests are like. Always fun to level through an expansion the first time. There's nothing more pathetic than the people who whine about every change Blizz makes but still log on every night and never miss a raid. Just fucking move on...its just a game and there's plenty of alternatives out there and many more on the horizon.
