The other X-Wing games were also highly enjoyable (X-Wing and X-Wing Alliance), though it seemed the latter was a little underachieving though still original and entertaining. I look forward to the potential of the continuation of this series. Those are really the only star wars games i've played in full, but i've played the demos of such games as Jedi Knight 2 and the sequel-ish game Jedi Academy, both of which seemed to reproduce the new movies' representation of jedi action better than any other game, which is always fun. Also played the demo for Republic Commando, which seems to be the first more conventional fps in the setting, and seems much darker and more uh...realistic i guess than previous games, though as with X-Wing Alliance, it seems they failed to go the extra mile that it would take to make it a truly great game. Sorry for the essay, but I gathered the intent of the first post was for playing suggestions (and i'm also a little excited for the movie ) | ||

Personally I'm a huge fan of all of the flight sims, tie-fighter was definitely the best, but x-wing vs tiefighter was a classic for the multiplayer, Jedi knight 2 was an awesome game, kotor was good, just read online reviews ign / gamepro / gamespy they usually give dependable reviews | ||
