I don't expect to make any personal profit off this, I'm just looking for increased opportunities to pvp. This also means I will likely be more trustworthy than your run-of-the-mill merc because I'm in it for the fighting, not the cash. Don't expect me to run out on you so long as I use the items you have provided me with. Once I die and lose those items though, I'm back on the free market for hire (or re-hire) until I am rearmed with a purpose once more. Until such a purpose is given, I will likely be around the town square when online looking for my own form of pvp. | ||

Skeleton spawns are way higher now, Bone drops are easy to get and 175 excavation is EASY as hell to get. Wheat grows slow but we dont even have a big wheat farm. Our food is all from cows/pigs/chickens. Mushrooms? Really? Whats your ign ill give you every mushroom I ACCIDENTALLY kept from excavating. I hate mushroom stew, 1 slot food is worthless. | ||

It's not really exaggerated at all, it's quite brutal on soloers, though I did go solo knowing that. I just think some of the changes/lack of changes were bad, and seeing people with the carried over skills profiting for free really, really sucks. Skeleton spawns have to still be split among all the players too, which makes them still quite low. Fork over the shrooms, if you have no other food and wheat is still growing, mushroom stew is like gold, all you need is a workbench, 1 bowl and a bunch of red and brown shrooms. If it helps put what I say in perspective, remember ninja's post on server stats? Has anyone wondered why there are more than 1000 unique characters but probably only 50 regulars? It's because the system rewards those with a big, active group, and with the reset, rewarded those who had high skills from the previous maps, who happened to mostly be the ones with the big active groups, but as I've said before, disproportionally punishes small groups, soloers, and newbies. The model discourages new players, we're trying too hard to be "hardcore." | ||

Also as stated several times this is a PvP Survival Factions Server, NOT a carebear server. People earned their mcmmo stats (and honestly the benefit is so small, I don't get the QQ). The only stats that ought to be reset are the ones that people could abuse last server and can no longer abuse now (healing totems + fall damage = infinite acrobatics). | ||

I also seem to have awful luck with mob spawns too, took me ages to even get enough wool to make a bed to fix my broken /home. Not even trying is something real easy to say when you have everything you need. If I had a dollar for every time someone said "carebear" man, do you honestly think I would stay if I was a oh noes no PvP carebear? There's a difference between "carebear" and just wanting things to run smoother, because some things are just damn stupid, inconvenient, make no sense, and are not fun or actually a "challenge" unless you're someone trying really, really hard to prove...something on Minecraft. PvP factions and being "hardcore" is sweet, but honestly I think it's being overdone here. I'd love to raid another solo player and engage in PvP or do goddamn something, but I'd starve before getting halfway there and then probably get killed by a pigman hitting me through a wall. Maybe I should just sit and grind excavation because that's so fun and hardcore right? I still love how people seem to ignore everything I say besides the part where I don't like something and automatically assume I want the server to be carebear. It's called improvements that would benefit everyone and make the server more attractive to new people and retain them. | ||
