Of course I'm not speaking for my team right now, this is just my suspicions. People may feel otherwise, and if somebody else wants to head up the mafia faction I wish them all the luck in the world (lookin @ you redff1). That being said, I'm going to leave my shit right where it is for awhile.
Mafia no, you guys were fun. : (

also, -McMMO abilities are nerfed. Stats carry over. does this mean that the cap will remain the same, and the abilities stats are getting lowered? or is the skillcap simply being lowered?
i'd perfer it being lowered, myself.

Templar you will understand why if yo usaw the map.
Walking everywhere will be mostly required. And the map is gonna be difficult to actually walk to and from etc.

pretty sure it means the OP abilities are nerfed (Less chance for triple drop from super breaker, harder to get diamonds from digging, serrated strikes made fair)

the AOE + friendly fire on serrated strikes is pretty annoying :/

I'm really looking forward to round 3 with all the new changes, I love every single one of them!
Also remember that round 2 is far from being over, there's still plenty of room for us to make it more fun. Split up into new factions right now, instead of with the start of round 3. Make sure your base is closish to spawn, not beyond 1000 or -1000 etc. Make fun above ground bases, like castles, so it's more fun to attack and defend. That way you might get infiltrated and attacked etc. sooner.
|
Prestige system is on admin bases btw. We talked about how we should limit the bases to being above ground only so that attacks are fun.
However instead, we decided that for prestige purposes, you can get negative prestige as well. A road to your base from spawn may be worth 2 points of prestige, but a road to an underground base may be worth none.

I think I like the new map so much ill try to play myself.

So can you damage/destroy another factions road network infrastructure as a valid means of lowing their prestige (assuming they don't bother to claim the land)? It'd be nice if you wanted to build the road, you'd have to claim the land along the road to protect it.
By protecting someone's road, you're essentially letting them grow attached to something that is invulnerable in a PvP server.
|
No. After finishing a prestige that benefits the server it will be protected using in game Admin ticketing.
This way Server gets built up but doesnt hinder a faction so much as to be not worth it
All Prestige is is basically a faction "rating system" and each factions prestige will be displayed on a totem in town.

Is the round 3 map made of mountain biome only?

By protecting someone's road, you're essentially letting them grow attached to something that is invulnerable in a PvP server. That would be like destroying part of the road I made to the Loner base. It's there for non-Loners, mainly, so why would you want to destroy it?

Total war? Just because someone doesn't benefit from it more than everyone else doesn't mean they don't benefit from it at all, and wouldn't suffer at said resources being destroyed. It's already been said you can't though so it doesn't matter.

Take a look at the map linked in the OP.

Thank you, i didn't have time to watch the entire video. This map looks like a heaven for dwarf style fortresses and aspenwood style cities

If a faction builds the sufficient highways, they can sprint from one side of the map to the other in no time at all.

SandPeople are going to enjoy their new dune-filled deserts. Also i think there should definitely be more if not all bases above ground... one of the big factors for this round being so boring in my opinion is nearly every major factions base (including our own) is underground. I feel it would be 100x more exciting if everyone had a proper fortress/castle.
