Our diamonds disappeared even though we sealed it so that only the faction members can access the chest..our members are people we know irl so I highly doubt one of them is responsible. Is there a way other nonmembers can open sealed chests?

It is a problem that we all discussed as a group and due to the size of the map (which will be many times larger) in addition to the reduced faction count there should be more protection for the spawn from the guilds vying for recruits. With all that said I know there will still be concerns for people to spawn camp the podium area. The Admins have agreed to act as arbitrators for accusations of griefing in the city area.

I am really excited for reset. Yes I am bummed that our incredible castle is going to be lost but I am looking forward to restart and make some changes in the new world!

Ninja, did you get the mafia faction application? I PM'd it to you but I don't see ourselves on the faction list yet.

Not a big deal, I just want to make sure we get all the paperwork filed before the deadline.

I'm actually wondering the same thing. A pm back telling us if we were accepted or not would be very helpful in allaying my and other people's fears.

Since the server is resetting soon and the map will auto-update in the next round, here is the map I made/collected from traveling around the world. As you can see, the area around the spawn is really full, while there is plenty of room in the rest of the world.

Factions Map 9/10/2011


Doors are now less safe than 2 blocks of dirt, as you only need to remove the block below the door in order to make an opening. All my walls will be 2 thick, so you need to destroy 4 blocks to get in (a.k.a. you need to wait a minute or be with 2, like it is now)

There is no point in hiding chests. Put them in plain sight and no-one can touch them. What is the point in hiding them in your house/base/mine?


All Europeans miss out on all votes. Can we make all votes have a 24hour duration? Or a 24hour warning before balance changes are made? (some exceptions require immediate fixing of course)


Can factions have a default power of like 10, and have each member only add 5 power to the total?
Deaths take off 3, and seeing how you can go in negative power (f.e. -5) no land is safe. This makes it so the land claimable and the power lost for 1 player death is much more equal between big and small factions.

All factions need a minimum amount of space to make a decent house/fort/farm, making it bigger for more members requires much less space than the initial building. This also makes it so power loss from deaths are more equal between factions of different sizes. For example: right now 1 member of a 1 player faction dies and loses 4 out of max 10 power = 40%.1 member from an 8 player faction dies and loses 4 out of max 80 power = 5%.
But if you use the example i gave earlier the 1 player faction loses 3/15 = 20% and the 8 player faction loses 3/50 = 6%.

I think there have been times before when no admins were online, especially when EU players have mid-day and the Americans are still asleep. In those times, spawncamping could potentially be a pretty big problem.
While I can understand that you might not want to keep the whole city PvP-protected, please make the protected area large enough that no one can easily kill off people who just spawned. Also, please include the marketplace in the safe area because I fear being killed while writing the offer sign.

Is the world actually a square? That would explain how the edges cut into the map.
It definitely doesn't fit with that map anyway.
For instance you can't go west of lava-lovers very far at all. You quickly hit the world edge.
