I'm looking into that, I'm playing a pure mage and looking for bugs, balance issues, etc. Attack spells are mixed in with utility spells because they both need to meet a certain ratio to successfully work. Attack spells then have additional calculations to determine if they work against an opponent. I do agree though, it is very confusing. To cast offensive spells they'll only show up on the bottom of the war page and utility spells only on the the spell page.
I think I've found a big issue with casting advanced utility spells, like abusing "time hopping" and gates by only needing 1 wizard to successfully cast them. If anyone else has stumbled across any bugs please pm me.

woah you guys changed all the units atack/defense powers. good changes though. Before this there was no reason to ever use anything but jets.
Im not sure I agree with infantry being 2/1 though =/ I guess no one can attack for so long that it doesnt matter. Your probably right.

ya for some reason i could not open a time gate so after wasting 20 turns attempting to open one i was forced to just crush temps with my new catapults. It seems almost random if my spells will work sometimes I will cast the same spells like 10 times in a row and they will work then with no extra land or loss in wizards/health I will try casting the same spell just for it too fail repeatedly mabey iam just missing something.

i think your missing something. there is a very strict ratio for casting.
although, i think they changed portal to ~90 to open it.
btw, with over 10,000,000 defense nothign you can buy short of 500,000,000 in troops could do shit xD

Ya i doubt i coulda done much but i coulda died fighting and now that you said ratio i looked at the game guide and i understand what you mean now I had thought i had some percentage of chance of success so i just tried over and over wasting tons of turns.So thanks for the info. And does it make your men desert when you attack me now?

not yet. When you are at like 1/3rd my size they probably will.
DOesnt matter, i get mroe per turn than desert ;P

Time gate is a utility spell. Your chance to cast it successfully depends on how many wizards you have per tower, or whatever the hell building produces them.

Well, race switching strategies don't work in this game as far as I know (but feel free to prove me wrong, hehe) so you shouldn't switch period. The beta is almost up, so you're better off not switching at all. Remember, all races can reach number one, even the seemingly useless goblins

no dude, i want to switch for the NEW SEASON because after all this is over after friday right? So if i cant switch at the start of the next season i want to change tommorow so i will be the race i want to play next season.

i make 3 million a turn. (without cashing) hmm its 4.5 mil actual (did the future change that?)

Goblins are completely worthless, gnomes and gremlins arent much better. And eager so your saying after the beta is done we will get the chance to switch races?

Yes, after each season you have to choose a whole new race and start from scratch.
And goblins kick ass, didn't I prove that by being 1st place with them? I haven't played awesome-possum since sunday morning, so keep that in mind.

i really do not think any of the races are worthless....
gnomes are probably the best race in the game.

You know what i dont get. Why do fighing units get worse in the present and the future lol? Hell give me a gallon over a battelship anyday.

Ya I wasnt being serious when I said how bad some of the races were. And as for gnomes being the best even if someone played to their advantages and went mostly markets and purcahsed all their units do you really think with -16% offense they would be much better than the dwarves? One thing I can say I like the most about promisance is that there is no 1 set way to excel at the game.
