So does this mean that you come to a full stop faster and take longer to reach full movement speed?

Edit: Also Bizon now OP?

long story short, we're getting close to 1.6 now

That means nothing to me since I didn't play 1.6. But I remember people saying there's a lot more sliding in CSGO, so I assume that there's less now?

Also, with the new tagging, I noticed myself getting slowed sometimes even when I didn't take damage. Not sure if that's a bug or if I just missed something.
Can someone please explain/how water falls with no rain?

all smg ~20% more armor dmg penetration + cumulative tagging slow down

mhmhmhm.
have to test it

edit: after playing, it feels like always lol. Moving (acceleration) feels a splitt second slower during quick switch knife and rifle.

– All SMGs now have ~20% more armor penetration.

Does this spell the end of the anti anti eco rounds?

The movement change is pretty big, I only played deathmatch but it seems way harder to juggle peek or fly out of corners if you weren't running previous to the peek. A great change in my opinion, I'm gonna go play some games to see how the tagging plays out.

You know, I was gonna be pissed off that Volvo deliberately timed the price reduction on Operation Breakout so that if you got it for cheap you could not get the 15 missions for the gold coin done no matter what you did... BUT with this patch I guess I can't be too upset. Just played some rounds and it felt better. Very subtle but definitely more reminiscent of 1.6 movement.

i played a bit of dm and really couldn't notice the tagging that much tbh

new movement values seem like an improvement but i will refrain from further judgement for now

Getting max tagged when getting hit for 1 armor 0 dmg by a nade is pretty annoying though, I suppose they'll fix it pretty soon

I have to say purely out of movement comfort, I actually enjoyed the prepatch movement. It felt more flowing and you could explode into jumps with higher acceleration. The 1.6 seems more reserved, at least until I can get the hang of it.

Gameplay wise I'm so much more familiar to GO than 1.6 that I don't really have an idea. I think I'm more of a mobile all over the place player rather than a careful positioner in general, so probably the new one is at least harder for me.

Edit: To be clear, I kind of prefer the GO acceleration and friction even if it makes the movement more slippery and floaty. However, apparently 1.6 had lots of finesse and trickery with the GoldScr air curving and all that. That's definitely a huge bonus for me if it actually gets implemented to the game in a way where its actually allows creativity, unpredictability and reactive stuff.

I've been playing 1.6 against bots a lot, just for nostalgia's sake... If CSGO's movement ever becomes like 1.6's, I'm going to bunnyhop everywhere.

On hltv.org is a thread, complaining about frame rate drops, which got a lot of confirmations so far. My laptop is affacted by this too. I am able to downgrade the graphic settings, but meh, i don't want to
I'm sure it will be fixed soon, but would be glad if someone also follow this case, could share his result!

On a cs note(?):
My muscle memorie is at a point, where i automaticly aim at people's heads, and my spray is decent too. Wonder what improvement i should look next at, or if i should focus still on aiming.

You can always improve aiming, but then I guess positioning and nades are really important too. I'm at a point where my aim is pretty great when I'm in decent form, but then sometimes I play like a total retard and peek everything like I'm flusha or something :D It's hard to bring myself to play "seriously" in pugs and MM, but on the other hand I don't have a team so no serious games to play in

My positioning could use some fine tuning, too. I already stick close to walls and peek cornors closely, but man, often times its simply not enough D:

A constant team would be cool too, but i can't invest the time into one. Luckily we are a bunch of friends who play as often as possible.
But one can not exspect anything useful out of it...
