Anyone else having this problem or have a solution? Reboot your computer and try again and if that doesn't solve it . It would be a good idea to post it on the cs go forum . http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=1188

If you want to argue the game is a fun shooter to sneak in a quick match to get your fps fix, TF2 is far superior in every aspect. I for one hope for an amazing 1.09 patch from the CS ProMod Dev team, if they do indeed implement the things they've been talking about ie. goldsrc sound engine & the 1.6 model size + movement it should be quite close to 1.6. But with much better admin, spec/hltv, gui & hud interfaces. If all the big 1.6 teams and organisations would so eagerly embrace the trainwreck go is, i imagine csp will definitely take off and become the new global team fps esports so desperately needs. As someone who played cs for the first 8 or so years of its existence from the time it was first released as a mod for half-life, I think csgo is fuckin awesome, and I like the differences it has with 1.6. CS needed some freshness to it. Especially because 1.6 is NOT the most fun version of cs ever released. A CS game doesnt have to be an exact 1.6 copy to be fun or competitive. You are also being a bit disingenuous by suggesting that tf2 is 'far superior' as I dont find that game fun at all, because I dont find crazy hectic rockets flying, turrets shooting, and guys jumping across half the map fun. TF2 IS NOT CS and if you wanna play cs you wont play TF2. Also, funny to see you reppin cs promod as being the 'saviour' of cs considering that game has been in development for over half a decade with nothing to show for it. CSP missed its mark by atleast 3 years. Its done. There are already 50,000+ people playing csgo at its daily peak, csp will never even reach 50, and will only have european servers to play on. So get real yo.

Maybe the hitboxes are too big, who knows, early to tell, but the game is much much more then aim, like starcraft is much much more then just mechanics. I do have higher hope for GO then SC2 though. Love that we are given much more freedom then what blizzard gave us. Yes people 'tuned' their skills for years, and with a new game everybody will start on an even playing field as far as 'skill tuning' is concerned. The overall strategies for defusal maps will remain pretty similar as well as the buy system manipulation methods. People that were good at previous versions of cs can easily translate their abilities to this game with a couple weeks of playing. I think this game is more difficult actually ebcause there is extra cover/more textures and less blocky edges than 1.6. I believe the skill ceiling will drastically increase with this title.

I'm tired of random pubs and all the bullshit associated with them, and I want to get better, but I don't know if it's worth the headaches. Everything I've heard about ESEA is that the skill levels and anger levels are basically the same.

Like Cal and shit? Or scrimmed with their friends? :D I still think theres a huge problem with head hitboxes and spamming, everyone in this thread seems to think its ok, but i think its bullshit, the amount of lucky shots and pure spamming that results in 1 shot your dead from miles away is ridiculous, Sorry, i should be able to burst someone down before they can spray me down at mid-long range, its called fucking accuracy xD once in a while is fine, but every damn time is just silly to die in 2 seconds from someone spamming half a map away. Also the ragdoll physics are fucked up, the slightest touch on a gun will send it flying miles away. (I watched someone shoot an M4 at spawn with a pistol and it flew up in the air and didnt come back, xD) and it effects grenades sometimes too, they hit certain objects and "bounce" away. Also object hitboxes seem to be off, or the grenades hitbox, one of the two, sometimes you'll throw a grenade through a gap it should be able to get through, only for it to bounce off the wall and come back at you, resulting in suicide. xD When that doesnt happen, the game is wonderful though! :D CAL-O = amatuer and probably a hacker CAL-M = "up and coming pro"* CAL-I = semi-pro CPL = pro Main wasn't too difficult to get into if you had a competent team, and a lot of people in main considered themselves semi-pro (they weren't) which is where a lot of this is coming from, I think. I very much doubt everyone in the thread was CAL-I. *one of the dumbest phrases ever, but not much else applies here
