lol im in a similiar position... except i never use to be pro1.6 and except i havent bought gw2 BUT i have played in beta and was planning on buying gw2 and spending most of my time of that and sc2 but i just started playing csgo and idk what to do anymore.. still want to play gw2 but would make no sense in buying it if I spend most of my time on csgo and i would of course still play sc2 so i would never have much time for gw2 :/

I kinda miss my duck walk. It feels so weird running around doing nothing.
Haven't played a lot of CS:GO but what I've played felt pretty good, wallbanging feels weird though, I can't really explain it but it just feels like nothing happens, it felt way more responsive and actually effective in 1.6.

i'm a pretty shitty 1.6 player but i've found wallbanging to work almost exactly the same, honestly feels just as reliable as it used to be.

Anyone find the m4 to be completely fucked compared to 1.6?

It feels like a different weapon, not bad tho.

So after many many hours fiddling with some guns, I have decided I like the Galil far better than the AK.
The spray is easier to control and it's more accurate (or maybe I'm just better with it and thus land more shots)
regardless
I'm streaming again http://bit.ly/MFr0Ac (just links to my TL stream~!)
and it's fixed
sorry about that :X

I got in the beta a while ago but only started playing now. It's really hard, if it was dota everyone would be yelling at me for feeding but luckily no one seems to cares.
Kept getting a lot of Nuke. Don't like it. I get killed early on and my team camp their spawn with snipers until we lose from time out. On multiple severs too.

I never played CS much, but I'm seriously interested in a decent fps. Would you recommend CS:GO, yes or no? Doesn't need to have flashy explosions, just slick gameplay and strategic depth?

I also think there are quite a few rivals to AK, but without 1 hit headshots I doubt they will replace it in the long run. I had a lot of fun with sg though

at its price point its awesome and has a ton of replay. If you get in a good low user pub or start getting scrims it can get pretty intense with some strats, just forget about strategic depth if you play on a large pub server. And deatmatch or gungame types can get that quick fps fix in without committing to anything serious. Yes I would recommend this game.

for its price its a nobrainer. and valve is great so why not make them even richer. i will still play more bf3 overall but its already really fun and it will just get better + maybe give cs enough of a boost to be the standart comp fps again

I dont know if this is a little too early or maybe I've missed it but has anyone talked about or is planning to start a Clan or team or server. It would be awesome to play with you guys. I think it would make the game a lot more fun and enjoyable. I know some of us are getting pretty good and others are just starting but I think its a great idea if we started a clan or server we could all play together !
Also we could give eachother tips on how to improve! I know I feel a little clueless sometimes like which weapon to use for a certain play style or which weapon is better for certain maps or areas or just give aiming advice, you know.

What is the best way to learn how to play this game decently well, with no prior CS experience? Thanks!

Just hop on a deathmatch server and play till your eyes bleed. Well, that's actually all you really need to do to learn the mechanics of the game. For map specific things, like popular camping spots and where people can be at XX seconds into the round for rushes, ect, you kinda just have to play.

yes, you should just play as much as possible for a continuous amount of time. after a while, your mouse motions and keyboard inputs will be much more natural and comfortable. also, don't be afraid to adjust the sensitivity multiple times to see what is most comfortable; most veteran players will recommend a low sensitivity, so that it's easier to perform the small, precise movements. when it comes to knowledge about the game, it's best to learn from the other, more experienced, players, but i wouldn't worry about this until you get all the basics down.

Improve your reflexes and mouse accuracy. Timing is everything in this game. Who shoots first - wins.
Oh and, try not to die, because you cant come back.

Even the smaller demolition maps are a blast and a fresh change of pace. They're also faster paced.
