We lost to pride, we suck, so we didnt want to go there to train more for the major. They knew they suck long time ago, now they fuck over WESG just for losing against pride in a single online qualifier. Oh come on.
I mean sure, but you do realise playing an event before another is much worse for the next event than just practicing for an event. Not saying that Godsent is in the right, but i can atleast understand where theyre coming from.
There's absolutely no excuse with the manner they did that.
If anything, that will serve as a basis for future events to incorporate punishments, in the form of fees or bans or whatever, and a way to legally tie (contracts) teams to events to avoid that kind of stupid thing.
As i said, i don't agree with them at all, but i understand why they did it.
Do teams have to pay a fee to enter those tourneys? In other sports, teams canceling after a certain date have to pay double the fee as "punishment" afaik.
//I have just taken a look at the liquipedia page for WESG. What the hell is that price pool, considering the line-up?
They had huge price pools for Starcraft as well (I think it's actually the second biggest price pool ever in Starcraft 2...). I'm really wondering where they get the money from.
They were sponsored by AliBaba which is apparently some big firm in Asia.
Not some big firm. Ali Baba is fucking monstrous...
Did they update the gun sounds? I just played yesterday for the first time in a long time and the guns sounds so much more different (and more realistic)

Yes, twice actually. To me they sound like cancer know. I don't need "realistic" sounds in a game like CS. I need pleasant sounds that are distinct to each other.

The previous AK sound was not pleasant at all though.

Yeah, it wasn't and it's not now, either. I kind of miss the 1.6 sound of the AK.

Whether you like it or not now, at least it's not destroying your ears (the other guns as well, even if that was to a lesser extent). The audio for weapons was absolutely horrible in terms of quality.
And yes, Classic Offensive has the old sounds from 1.6. Been playing it a bit, it's fun, although it tastes way better with voice_enable 0. As someone with only 20 hours or so on 1.6, it's been refreshing. I've enjoyed rollerskating with the deagle (I find it slightly too powerful )

I did, but it didn't feel right.
5 people is awesome thing to have. The more friends we find, the better the chances. I promise to invite you only if you would be the fifth one :-)

Yep yep. Thinking more about this, I think you are right and I should only soloQ as it not only lets me enjoy the pure joy of the CS:GO game but also deepens my psychology training. Just the other night I played with a team where there were two Russians shouting in voice chat about their daily chores. Then there was a third team mate who became agitated and started flaming the team (even though he sucked). Friendly advising us to "just fucking think about the fucking game, you fucks". Russian duo became also agitated. And then there was me trying to focus on winning (and fucking thinking about the fucking game), while trying to calm down everyone - because I believe that good spirits make about 30-40% of your overall performance. Fun times.
I would be hyped to play a game of CS with two russians from the red army choirs though. Imagine slaying your enemies to the sound of the glorious anthem of mother Russia.
Rainbow 6 is free this weekend on steam! and half price The tactical depth is amazing and the best part is that the aiming is mostly just RNG, so the fact that I suck doesn't show as much as in CS
