Generally you should know what skill you want for AoE and what skill you want for single target before hand but since you can buy like 90% of the gems in the game from vendors now you don't need to worry too much if you decide a skill blows and you'd rather use something else. The FDL TeamSpeak has a decent number of players including some HC if you care. | ||

I didn't want to wait for a Lightning Coil, so I'm rocking a Kingsguard right now and I gotta say I'm pretty damn pleased. Manual cast EC spam for regen feels good, and then when I do get chunked, my CWDT IC procs and I get healed for 400 instantly on top of the immunity. Can't wait to pick up 1-3 more charges from the tree. My CWDT is actually IC - increased duration - Warlord's Mark, so after the initial EC + IC, I get a steady flow of leech and charges when dealing with tough/big packs. | ||

meanwhile is anybody else playing flame totem? how do you scale the damage late game since after around level 60 the gem kinda stops levelling up etc... my original build was going to just kinda take a spell damage or crit node roughly every other node through to level 80 but then I decided that 100% life probably wasn't enough for HC... | ||

That reminds me, I need to sink an alch into CWDT (I keep forgetting to buy it from the vendor, it's probably level 4 or something by now) as well as pick up an IC and a Warlord's Mark from trade chat for my Firestorm Witch. And an Increased Duration, too, since I don't think Witches get that either. Bah. At least the damage is definitely no problem. | ||

 Anybody know how much a4 piety laser hits for in cruel? I need to have enough life to not get 1-shot by it since i'm bad at predicting where it starts. | ||

I could almost out regen it in normal is why I think it doesn't do damage. | ||

i think the bleeds were from the swirling balls of death she summoned? unsure, the bleeds were really pretty small not big deals in general much like all bleeds in normal. I'll have staunching for cruel for sure | ||

Stupid amounts, I've been hearing 2K, 4K http://poedb.tw/us/mon.php?n=Piety, the Abomination Those are merc numbers though apparently The hitboxes on Malachai and Piety seem a little odd to me though. It seems like if you stand close to piety with the beam you don't take damage, same goes for Malachai's tentacle thing. Don't take that as fact though, I don't want to be responsible for any RIP's. (this is my xp from Warbands) | ||

I know Evo and friends mentioned how the beam becomes invisible if you scum on Teamspeak on Friday, but I didn't play beta at all so I've only fought Piety once and I pretty much facetanked everything in normal and didn't care. | ||

However my impressions of Warbands so far are really good, I love the mini bosses that are in almost every map and drop quite a bit. Tempest (at least in normal, can't say how they look later) was pretty dull. | ||
