The later-game economy necessitates more than 4 IMO Especially since in order to optimize your flasks you basically have to collect quality flasks for a decent period of time which is awkward without a stash tab for them. Then the chaos recipe usually eats a tab. Good gear that ur not using eats a tab, especially if ur selling it. Rapidly it eats more than one actually. Currency eats a tab, gems eat a tab, maps eat a tab, it adds up fast. That said, you *can* play to level 70 at least on 4 tabs no problem. Personally I view buying stash tabs as buying the game after you've tried it for free up to maps or so (at least 20 hours of playtime i'd say, free).

I will end up getting some soon I think. I've already played like 50 hours so it's already been well worth my money. By chaos recipe do you mean the one where you have a full set of rare gear for a chaos orb? Is that the normal way of farming in the game if you don't find something good enough to sell outright?

Keep in mind, the gear all has to be ilvl 60 or higher. Generally I keep a tab of belts/rings/ammy's and try to remember to form sets once I have enough of those.

Well, at the beginning you go for survivability anyways, so for the first several levels you arent gonna fuck much up, just head towards the life, then when you are playing play around with the different skill gems and find what you like. If you find a certain skill you wanna use from then on, build around that or look up builds for it, or even if you figure out you want to do fire/lightning/cold/melee or any sort of broad category you can also build with that in mind.

There are some funny new items... e: how about combining it with an arc totem (or any other totem, does not need to be leveled)? then you bring all opponent to 1 hp, arc totem finishes it off

Once you are familiar with the games mechanics, the skill/support/aura gems and items, you should be able to make strong builds. Personally I'm happy about following a guide to begin with, it let me create a strong character so I could experience as much of the games content as I wanted, and a lot of builds still have room for customization in terms of itemization/skilltree/support gem choices. With that being said, it's entirely possible to make decent builds on your own. Just make sure you get an adequate amount of survivability, consider how to scale the damage of your main ability efficiently and make sure that your build doesn't require too many skill points to be functional (90+ skill points).
