Yeah, when I race as Witch if I don't find the lower wp I sometimes run into those mana problems with FP on Ledge.

Yeah. You get stunned very easily there, interrupting your attacks.

What do you think of buying a portal with your starting wisdoms? It guarantees you the ice nova as soon as you finish Mud Flats. It really pushed my bursts despite my crap load times.

This Descent Champions was better than my last one, but the competition was so high. Placed 4th Mara and #23 overall. Almost level 24.
Also did not help that my weapons were mediocre at best.  Happens rarely to me at Descent Champions, since you have so many orbs. I used 3 or 4 alchs on resists rings though.
EDIT: Damn Mors got a nice weapon and his belt too, no wonder he won. I think I only had resists on my rings, chest and boots and on neither of them were high. Not much Life either. WTB better RNG. ^^

I died 20 minutes in at rank 7 and 2nd witch overall. Some guy hit 27 as witch too

Btw do Marauders go get the Leap Slam get from that extra zone? I have never done that. I usually love Leap Slam but that's quite the extra trip and in the later stage Ground Slam's safety is just great.
Just wondering cause Mors has a quality Leap Slam in his weapon.

I thought leap slam was basically a required side quest for Mara in dchamps, but maybe i'm wrong.

Exiles Everywhere looks like another race type made with parties in mind. As if fractured wasn't enough. I even died to the microtransaction tab.

I just got lvl 14/5th scion/47th overall in the exile 1 hour playing solo. I'm pretty proud of myself considering this is the first race I've done in at least 1-1.5 years

Died 4 times in the most recent Fixed Seed race, still didn't wanna give up though. Last try I was about 25 min late but still made lvl 23 and #4th Mara at #54 overall ranking. I died 2 times trying to get the Acceleration Shrine in The Coast, lol.
Best Mara not even 25... if only I would not have failed.

got 1st Brutus, 1st Merv but fell off on A2. (based off of the pace I was going.)
12:30 Brutus, 24 min merv, made a couple mistakes in A2 and had no MS boots until like 50~ minutes! :C so 1:04 vaal. which ironically is still my best times for all of these bosses. finished level 26 and 70% in 16th overall 4th witch.

Just ripped my 8th character in Invasion. Levels at RIP: 10, 20, 25, 30 35, 40, 43, 45, 50. Still haven't reached merc.
There's really no way to put it other than you have to be a masochist to play invasion (or know EXACTLY what you are doing).
Fuck Corrector Draconides. I figure with 2300 hp, 8000 armor (with the granite flasks i had up), and 77% FR in cruel act 3 I have a chance at trying to kill him. Not Even Close. What kind of character could possibly kill that guy?

Well I played 2 Invasion chars or so and both died in Cruel, one reached Docks and farmed there for quite a while to then die at about lvl 54 there. Tried fighting all invaders which ended up being a bit too dangerous. Died to some Lightning dude which I thought I was tanking just fine but then I just died. At least I got the Challenge done for killing all invaders, lol.
For now I'm prefering Ambush, which is sort of fun, definitely better than Anarchy.

The only difference between invasion and normal hardcore is that there is a boss that will rip you in every map and you just have to dodge it.
2300hp at lvl 50 isnt that much btw

Died at ~20 min in Endless Ledge and made new char to still get lvl 17. Oh well, my first try was awful zone RNG. 2nd zone were the leaping frogs and Evangelists. Tried to skip a lot there but the 3rd zone wasn't better, still Evangelists... -_- Died in that zone after wasting a lot of time... But I died to Merveil's chosen blues with vulnerability, totally unexpected. They just bursted me down with Freezing Pulse.
2nd try was good, I found Goldrim at like lvl 8, which also helped. :D
EDIT: Reached lvl 21 in Famine Solo, but that was pretty bullshit. I was farming Sins 1 and had horrible, horrible zones. The first 5 or 6 instances all of the blue packs were either 4-5 zombies or little spiders, quite laughable... When I was in Act 2 I was just not even a full level behind Goratha, but he farmed so much faster. I think he also was in a different zone. #5 Mara and #18 overall, that was my best placing this season, although not for Mara.

Kinda sad I missed that 1h famine, really enjoy 1h races. bursts tonight though so thats nice
Edit: got 7th, 6th and 3rd Witch in the bursts.

So on a lore note, this is something interesting:
"Veruso build his capital upon the bones of Azala Vaal and baptized it Sarn. From there, Veruso formed the first Legions and proceeded to conquer the lands beneath the Mantle, clearing it of the mindless constructs and fierce abominations left in the wake of The Fall. "
This points to a few things.
1. Sarn is built on the ruins of Azala Vaal, the former capital of the Vaal civilization.
2. The Vaal pyramid was part of the Vaal capital, or is at farthest located on the outskirts of it.
3. The sewers take you close to the buried ruins of the Vaal capital
4. When you use map fragments on the map device (aka the reverie device), you might actually be going to the ruins below Sarn, or rather a warped version of them.

So the map device is an actual in-universe thing now? So where do you go? Why are the places full of monsters and loot?
