I used a Searing bond / Flameblast build to level in ambush, and had a lot of fun with it. The combination does more damage to a single target than SB could do alone, and it's oh so satisfying to nuke a huge pack with a single shot of flame blast. The thing with flameblast is that you have to realllly pay attention to the mods. The FB area can start to get insanely big, making it quite easy to hit mobs offscreen, and one offscreen reflect mob will happily allow you to oneshot yourself. A number of times I only realized a yellow mob was ele reflect after beginning the cast, and would have to keep the cast going at lvl 10 until my SB killed the yellow or face certain death. TLDR more fun (and probably more effective) than SB alone but has serious auto-RIP potential. | ||
