few more questions:
1. reached act3 cruel and stuff is hard. my damage is ok but i often take a shitton of damage. should i focus more on defstats on armor? cause most of what i have is quite old but getting new stuff with the sockets i need is... hard..
2. any way to make targeting easier? esp in groups(with a summoner...) sometimes i cant even target an enemy with all the effects flying around and dudes next to it. also guess no way to turn of targeting of players? with no reason to target em ever why do they get in the way of my cursor all the time?
3. somewhat related to 2, could it be that bow builds are quite damn powerful? seems like they all do atleast equal damage to me but on the whole screen,plus huge range plus the targeting is a smaller issue.beeing new to the game (farming) effectivity is quite important so maybe i should ice my shadow and play something else first?
4. best way to get upgrades in the mid level area? seems like the chance to roll a good rare with the sockets you need and the type you need are rrrreally small.

1. find/buy from vendors 3L or 4L, blacksmith it and alchemy orb it
2. Use Arc, makes all targeting problems in this game go away. Also with a right builds shock all your enemies making it easier for your summons to finish the job
3. Bow builds are strongest at the moment, at least on SC.

1. is not good advice. You'll get much better gear by trading with others than you'll get by buying/finding white gear and hoping it rolls good. Everyone tries to scam everyone, however, so you have to be patient and look for reasonable deals.
3. is correct. Bow builds are the safest in HC as well, due to dealing tons of small hits with Life Gain on Hit, which prevents you from killing yourself. 500dps with a bow is better than 1500 melee dps imo. But there are other powerful builds, like Ethereal Knives, Ice Spear + elemental proliferation, Freezing Pulse... Bow builds are probably the strongest still, but they should expect a small nerf in the future (or a huge buff wave to other skills, which also seems likely).

I had a mirror of kalandra drop... on my 2nd toon ever... my HC lvl 30 duelist....
Been trying to gauge how much to trade it for since im in uni and weill never get to the god tier lvls in HC that the mirror is best used it. Some people have said 15-30 exalts ingame?

I would save it until someone has a 6 link you'd like to have, or a godly weapon (IE 230% IPD 20-30 Physical damage 20% IAS) etc. If I had one I wouldn't sell it.

I dont know what your stat acronyms mean....
And like i said i probably will never get that high of a lvl to use those items since i dont have that much time

In my experience trading for good 4L gear is either really costly or takes way too much time. It is only worth if you are looking for end game gear.

How many alchs/chaos do you normally use before you roll a good item you want to use? You should be able to find some mid level rares for less than a GCP if not just an alch. Buying a good rare for an alch is far superior to trying to roll one yourself. Even paying a chaos or two for something that you're going to use for a long time like an amulet or ring isn't that bad.

If you can handle the dogs on merci Docks, it is way better than fellshrine. Within a few hours last night I went from 71 to 73.

Speaking of areas for XP, what are the good areas? Currently my Ranger is level 53 and chilling in A3 Cruel and my Witch is level 63 doing Dock runs in A3 Merciless.
Watching Kripp and reading about it, people go to all sorts of places that I never thought of. Is there a well detailed source of information for this or is the rule of thumb basically a3 merci docks numba wan?
Also, how much is a 5L 2h mace worth on SC? I was thinking 3-4 GCP but honestly have no clue.

The Ledge, Fellshire, and Docks are the areas I use. High density areas with skeletons best exp ^_^

So... since I used to be disappointed by not making those often enough back in D2:
What is a great MF character for HC? As in "can stack MF stuff without too much issue", "doesn't need much gear to do his job" and "doesn't suck ass at clear speed in major farming areas".
My first thought was just running with a summoner witch but I'm not too sure if she can clear reasonably fast enough. How does trying to MF in PoE work out the best?
