Also, the stones I get seem to "belong" to a certain section as I hover it over the atlas, that only tells me where I got it from but it doesn't matter which area I put it in right?

Basically all the core logic for how map drops works stayed the same. Leap Slam seems to clip through some objects, which can result in you getting temporarily stuck, but also seems to be able to let you sometimes get out-of-bounds items.

When you Shaped a map on the old Atlas, you could no longer get the lower-tier version of the map, but the higher-tier version became part of the drop pool for maps of the new tier. Basically all the core logic for how map drops works stayed the same. This is the definitely best way of thinking about it imo. Helps me.

You actually now need to do decent boss damage to progress, or if you're on a speed clearing or map farming build, you better have the BiS gear for your build if you wanna boss anything remotely difficult. I am not sure how I feel about it... Its great for the future of the league. Build evolution had been gettting faster and faster to the point of flicker builds being normie viable. I'm sure the build theory will adapt in the next league in time for the expansion.

Unfortunately I died at 85 due to some dumb bullshit, but I'm gonna run it again because it's actually kind of fun Playing strong builds is pretty recommended this league, I'm running a Ball Lightning Saboteur with 90% of the tree copied from AhhCrying's Arc / Icicle Miner. Up until red maps metamorphs died almost immediately, which was pretty nice. Now in red maps with tough mods I actually struggle a bit against some of them, however I can upgrade my gear quite a bit since I'm still mostly self found in a trade league (I like playing SSF :D) and am using Tabula Rasa etc...

5.2k life and 3.6k ES mmmm. Still mostly in yellow maps but enjoying the league a lot more after the auto-organ patch lol. Not doing anything big brain with the new atlas or anything, just chucking watchstones in areas and running whatever I have. Still fun.

Edit: after having seen karv do some cheese logout shit on awakaner in hcssf i copied his tactic in softcore and finally got my first awakener kill. Was only tier 2 but the mechanics dont change, only more hp for tier 8 so i dont see why i wouldnt be able to do it the same way. Fucked up only twice, upon reentering i went wrong direction and once during the walls i blinked the wrong way but overall was pretty easy with the tactic. https://streamable.com/vjeil

I'm running ~4600 Life, 600 Mana-Mom Assassin. The non stop elusive buff for Assas seems really, really good. Aside from the occasional oneshots i have absolutely no issues as long as i'm quick with that Manaflask. I also traded for first Void Battery. My biggest single Item i could trade was worth 25c and i had to flip basically anything I had (including fusings/jewellers). Started with <20c at 15:00 p.m. and ended with 480 at 9 p.m. and it then took me nearly an hour to find someone that was willing to trade his exalts.... Shit was actually exhausting. And now i'm poor again :D. Time to go for the second Void Battery.. Sigh.. And that 6l Loreweave.

1-handed Cyclone impale without ahn's might and overleech and 1-handed cyclone impale with ahn's might and overleech ascendecy Basically they are pretty close but one goes for Vaal Pact and overleech slayer ascendency points, while the other one doesn't. Do you guys see any clear winner here? For now I am following the first one that goes for Overwhelm and Impact, instead of Endless Hunger + Brutal Fervour, but I could very easily switch it up.

Got my build up to 4,9k hp and killed awakener 8 yesterday, a bit of a disappointment, literally the same fight just a bit dmg and hp but the fight is still only 3 minutes or so. Uber elder still way harder.

Overleech is still quite good. I remember on my cycloner in Legion, I would spec into it when I did bossing like shaper / uber elder, it really saves your ass in fights like that. However, I have a feeling that leech instances wouldn't last long enough in Awakener fight. For mapping and until T16s I used overwhelm and impact though, the damage / crit / etc is just too worth it. I would just stay like that until you do super high bosses and you can see if you need better sustain or not.

This season, I'd like to farm my way to defeating the Ubers for the first time, and whatever else I can manage on the other endgame paths.
