This league is the best heartbound loop league in memory. 2 skellies per cast is already a huge buff (either saves you a ring slot or allows much higher level cwdt), but toss in offering effect up to 75%, and corpse generation requirement halved and the power level is just way higher. Plus if you do ascendant version then there's no duration to counteract with jewels anymore.

It's 3 skellies per cast at gem lvl 20 btw. I might run a simple skeleton focussed build without explosion stuff, with decent movement speed and the new Dash they got, I feel like they're a decent choice. They are also not following the player which is also a big plus for things like the Blight tower defense.

I've never run RF totems, but I suspect the RF changes are a preeeetty big buff to that particular build.

So many new minion clusters, hard to figure out what's worth pathing towards >_<

Yeah but you can't really cwdt level 20 gems every .25 seconds and survive. Level 1 works though with spirit offering.

Yeah the HP breakpoint is about 7700 life+es, below which RF does more DMG now. However, minion and totem elemental resistance support going away hurts the build more than you'd think.

Level 20 totems have like 3k HP before scaling I believe

well, they basically built a playstyle for ranged melee-weapon poison assassin for you. its kinda just spectral throw but updated. with more poison.

The thrown mines thing has me slightly intrigued, but mines are so much slower than what I've been playing recently that I'm nervous I'll hate it. I already did Arc as well and idk what else is decent for aoe mine / clear.

I had Divine Ire on my mind a bit last league but didn't get around to it. I know that's not the fastest shit ever either but it seems cool enough. I know I saw a bit of Divine Ire totems not too long ago as well, and totems, like minions, might be good for the league mechanic idk.

Yeah, that's a good point esp for Heirophant; Chieftain still has "Totems are immune to fire damage" from Arohongui, Moon's Presence (that's probably going to be used more for RAT totem Eye of Innocence shenanigans with the newly revealed Torchoak Step boots, though).

Edit: What are the sources of L21/20-23quality Vaal gems? Just hitting a 20/20 gem with a T3 gem room in Temple of Atzoatl, and Delve nodes / Legion chests, right? Can't remember if Vorici in Transporation can reward these or not.

So my plan for the start of the league is as follows, hopefully it makes sense:

- Start with a solid, not-experimental build that doesn't care about reflect mods on maps (SR Trickster)
- Progress the Atlas as quickly as possible without sacrificing other content (Delve etc.)
- Only sell items that are worth the time (generally nothing below 30-40c)
- Don't bother with crafting anything and trade all extra currency for chaos, and then trade chaos for exalts
- If I get to red maps quickly enough, start selling red maps in bulk.
- Once I have enough cash, try out the new minion stuff.

Definitely going to try Skitterbots + Unbound Ailments on my summoner (if I don't change my plans), the benefits from the shock and chill are huge. The only question is how large the aura is but from the preview video it looks pretty decent and it should scale with aura AoE. It should also scale with regular increased AoE tho, so not sure how much the miner in the preview had...

Lol that's a fun idea. However without throwing mines afaik they don't move towards enemies, and infernal legion AoE seemed tiny in the preview video, so I doubt that's gonna be good.

1316 fire dmg pr sec at 20/20. Was more if i run a miner build. And more for the meme factor to be honest. They take 40% of max life as fire damage but they cannot die.

On a more serious build that uses IL, was thinking about a AG with Martyr staff, Hrimmnor resolve. The extra fire damage should work with the IL when using AG i hope.

My plan is pretty much :
start as necro, level srs / skellies until spectres become usable enough, progress as slow as a freakin tortoise despite having a decent build because of no time and to much work, then buy maps from guys like Poulsen to make them rich because i can`t be arsed to get a proper atlas together on my own and feel super behind (as usual).

And then, in 3-4 weeks, just kill uber elder with skellies. And maybe play a 2nd char in the latter half of the league



Edit: Will also be interesting to see which spectres turn out to be viable / good / broken with the additional levels.

Caught up a little on some recent-ish race VODs from havoc/tytykiller - hadn't realised the meta had shifted to Orb of Storms w/Arc/Wave of Conviction alongside LST for single-target. Half-wondering if I should speed-level to maps using that then respec to summoner, esp with Feeding Frenzy etc being unavailable until L31.

I wouldnt bother tbh, unless you`re really good at racing. +1 gem wands are gone (maybe the added flat is as good though?).
In the last days, I just ran act1+2 a few times, and srs with phantasm and from 8 on minion damage support and the occasional zombie pretty much made it feel super easy.
Sure, its a bit slower, but i still managed 25-30 minute act1 including trial and skillpoints, and tbh I'm not really a lot faster when I do the lightning / oos stuff.
I am super bad at globalling bosses with explosive trap tho. But even then, skellies are such good single target dps from the start that i dont think you`ll gain THAT much time.
