I feel like whenever I've come back to play a build, I end up running a phys/chaos wander. I'm addicted to oblivion (wand) explosions, I guess :D
All my added %chaos damage has me playing with the new and changed poison support gems... so far, it feels like, ironically, lesser poison support is actually just -better- than poison support. Both get the same bonus from quality, the proc chance difference is neutralized by virtually any other source of poison (snakebite / cospri's) because over 100% chance to proc is redundant, and poison damage itself takes so much to stack into anymore that poison feels more like a small added bonus than something to build around.
Decay support, on the other hand, feels like a mechanically simple poison, where you don't have to worry about it being based on your weapon damage or how it stacks with itself or blahblahblah.
It's been fun to play around with, and I swear I could ruin this game for myself by trying to follow wtf other people actually do.

Legit actual build would probably be this dude's but I don't actually understand the game's mechanics well enough to be any kind of an expert on what's good or not.
I just happen to get a lot of +%chaos damage nodes because it makes obliteration procs just wipe trash out instantly, which is what had me playing with poison/chaos skills to see what I could do. Turns out, not much! Most of the time its looking like scaling more towards crit or another damage mechanic is gonna get you more mileage than poison damage will.

im not really a fan of demigodking's builds. He has insanely OP gear - mirrored legacy crit multi ammy, +2 barrage crown of eyes (impossible to get in temp league), insane ES gear. his wand would cost at least a mirror, probably 2-5+. and then only 1 mil dps, 9.5k ES?! ehhhhh

I'll shoot it to you tomorrow! Nothing fancy at the moment though, just finished up act 8. Going is a bit slower because I'm playing through with a bud.
-e- actually, PoB is publically accesible, no? You should be able to look up Fleetfeet and my level 64ish occultist.

I feel like the problem with Obliteration is like... okay it clears packs. Thank God, because I was really scratching my head for a way to kill packs with a wand. ???

I need real help with skill gem setup for my Sunder Ice Raider that is about to enter mapping. Defense is Dodge, spell dodge, high evasion and Lighting Coil for body armor. And Vaal Pact.
So far what I planned to use is:
6L: Sunder+Ice Bite+Added Cold+Hypothermia+Elem damage with weapons+Multistrike
4L: Ancestral Warchief+Added Cold Damage+Concentrated Effect+Minion and totem elemental resistance
4L: Cast when damage taken+Frost Bomb+Frostbite+Inc Duration (thinking is that when someone can hit me and activate higher level cwdt they are the ones that need to be debuffed and killed faster)
3L: Leap Slam+FA+Fortify
Also I got Grace+Herald of Ice and Flame Golem.
So I got a 4L and 3L to fill with those 3 above and some other 4.
I am taking any suggestions..
With my high defenses, I doubt I need Immortal Call setup as they will not hit me often enough to kill me.
I was maybe thinking about linking something to Herald of Ice (since with my amount of leech I don't really need 25% of my mana for use) but I am not sure what.
Also I would like to have Culling Strike available for faster bossing. Is it enough to link that to Golem?

So I'm leveling 6 copies of the same gem in my alt weapon slots for Vaal Orb. Is it more efficient to do it at lvl 20 with 0 quality, or should I trade into 20% quality first and re-level them again before using Vaal Orb? I'm not finding many GCPs, is there a good way to farm them?

depends on how good quality is on the gem. Auras, for example, don't care about quality whatsoever.
GCPs are intentionally uncommon. Are you doing the quality recipe? (40% gem quality of gems sold together nets a GCP). You should save all quality gems you find and vendor the low% or otherwise undesirable ones for GCPs.

Over time the GCP recipe will net you quite a few GCP's. Personally I bought 6 17+ quality sparks and GCP'd them to 20, which you should also do if you care about 21/20 (assuming it's a spell or EA/CA), because leveling gems to 20 twice takes a long ass time, especially if you're new to the game.

quality Gems are especially cheap this league. I'd recommend you buy quality gems instead of levling them to 20 twice - it's much more time efficient (and therefore cost efficient).
only truly meta gems are expensive, like melee phys damage, faster attacks.
