AI War: Fleet Command is on sale today at 75% off. AI War is the only RTS that I have enjoyed when playing co-op against computers. In fact, that is what it was designed for and there is no head-to-head option.

You can read this great (TL) post about the game here and check out the more active thread here.

Dunno if it was mentioned yet but Oblivion is 75% off for 5 bucks. With Skyrim being some people's first elder scrolls game maybe some people want to see how the earlier games were. I picked it up and I'm pretty happy with it.

If you are buying Oblivion buy the GOTY Deluxe edition, Not the normal GOTY edition which is linked to the news post. Deluxe costs like 1.25 more and has more DLCs.

Aww, shucks. I might need help once again with a Steam Sale as I never have enough money on Paypal when these deals come around (current balance ~5€, the game is 6.24€).

I'd love to get the Oblivion GOTY Deluxe edition, but I noticed the sale too late and only managed to transfer some money onto my account yesterday late at night; it'll take until tomorrow or Friday until it actually appears on Paypal. Obviously Friday will be too late since the sale ends at 1:00 CET on Friday morning / night.

So unless my Paypal account updates tomorrow, I'd need someone who could gift me the game on short notice on Thursday, and I'd paypal you the money back asap. Doesn't matter if US or EU (although I could immediately repay someone from the US in case the game is 6.24$ - I should have enough € for that with the current exchange rate).

In case someone's reading this today and is willing to help, we could do this right now as well; I'll check TL for the next few hours until I'm off to bed.

TL;DR:

Need help acquiring Oblivion GOTY Deluxe Edition. Not enough money on Paypal (money en route, but Paypal not updated yet). Afraid sale is over before Paypal updates. Want to help? Please PM me, I'll send you my Steam contact, and will paypal the money back asap.

THANKS!

Aaaand done already. Thanks a lot to Pocketsocks for the super-quick help with the game.

Whoa! Didn't even see that. How is this not being advertised more on Steam? Its called the Super Meat Boy Anniversary Pack, you can find it under the Specials section in the store.

Even if you own half the games in the bundle, BUY IT. Amazing value.

Machinarium is a really cute puzzle game. Makes you really think, but gives you an out when you get stumped. I would also recommend this game!

The two games I have experience with are Super Meat Boy and Machinarium. Not far into machinarium, I suck at that game, but man that game's artwork is incredible and I may go through it just to see how everything looks (yes, I'm being a graphics whore, lol). Super Meat Boy is amazing. Very challenging, yet somehow not very frustrating. A lot of the (extremely) challenging games I've played are challenging in a very frustrating way, but this game, while it appears to be quite frustrating, is actually not. Great game, great controls, great challenge, great music, great cut scenes (lol).

The games I'm considering are VVVVV, Bit trip runner and Braid. I hear all those games are quite amazing

+1 to Braid, one of my favourite games of all time that I keep coming back to (I still haven't finished it, just solving the puzzles at my own pace)

Bit. Trip Beat isn't very fun once you play it more than 5 times in my opinion, it just doesn't seem to vary at all. And VVVVVV. Definitely yes.

Braid is well worth it. It's a few hours of entertainment, some really good puzzles. Only wish it would last longer.

So I'm thinking of getting this huge super meat boy bundle which is on sale right now. I've never played any of the games in it, but would like to try and play more indie titles. However, all the games in it are on sale too, so would it be better just to get one or two of the best? In which case, what do you recommend?.

Well, summing up the last few posts:
Recommend:
Braid - Hell yes
VVVVV - Hell yes
Super Meat Boy - warning, your thumbs will fall off
Machinarium

Not recommend:
Bit Trip Beat

$25 seems like great value considering you get atleast 3 amazing games (if Braid and VVVVV are as good as people say), and several other games that could be very enjoyable. At the same time it looks like they bundle a lot of soundtracks with the package so you may be paying for stuff you don't want.

Total package: $25
4 recommend games above without soundtrack: 5+2.50+7.50+5=$20

Pay an extra $5 for 6 games. OK wait a minute... entire package seems pretty good, considering the 6 games noone mentioned (including HL2) could be pretty cool

Well put - that's all the convincing I need
