CK2 has DLC features patched into the main game for free, the only big exception is retinues that need legacy of rome DLC. The other DLCs basically just unlock playable characters.

You forgot that bosses are awful - some big rat with few k of HP, that all your heroes need to constantly flash their swords at for half an hour. Not to mention the AI is somehow WORSE than in Majesty 1. And personally the feeling of the first one is waaaay better. 3D didn't do this series any good. I'm huge Paradox fan, I own quite a lot of their games. Damn, even Gordon van Dyke cut off my head in War of the Vikings! (yeah, I'm bragging about it xP) but Majesty 2 is just meh. Also, I just realized. I bought Majesty 1 Gold HD and then I remembered I already own Majesty 1 first edition AND Majesty 1 Gold. Derp.

Edit: wait, I just saw that the "Grand Strategy Collection" is only 8,40€. Somehow they added up all the prizes of the 75% reduced single games and then took 70% off once more of the total. I now just bought the Collection for 8,40€ (which is less than what you would pay for one single game in this sale xD)

I'd say you're better off picking one and buying everything for it instead of getting pieces of all the games though. The time investment to learn these games is so high that you simply won't have time to learn and play all of them and they'll end up rotting in your library with zero playtime.

I'd suggest you play EU4 first if you are looking for grand strategy, and CK2 if you are looking for a Game of Thrones simulator that focusses a lot more on the interpersonal workings of the actual rulers, as opposed to the workings of the nation as a whole. In CK2, you play the ruler (or a family), so it becomes important to marry correctly, make sure you set your sons up in a way that doesn't lead to a gigantic civil war as soon as your current ruler dies, and a lot of the game consists of spinning your web of intrigue as a medieval noble. IN EU4, you play as a nation. It doesn't matter a lot who is on the throne, there are no real inheritance rules, royal families or anything like that etc. But the diplomacy between states and the system of nations, trade and warfare is a lot more complex. Generally speaking, i would say EU4 is more accessible due to this, because there are a lot less hidden variables. If you fight a war, that is because you desire something the other guy has and think you are stronger, or the other way around. It is not because your third cousin married a minor french princess and thus gave the King of France a claim to your throne.

They most definitely made a mistake with the prizing on the Grand Strategy Collection as Crusader Kings 2 and EU4 are 8,40€ each without any DLCs while Hearts of Iron 3 is 2,99€ and Victoria 2 is 2,49€ and the Collection of all 4 games together is 8,40€ just like a single game without DLCs Edit: The collection is now 20.99€. Glad I bought it when it was still cheap ^.^

The first campaign is a bit stupid sometimes because they rush enemies at you and sometimes you dont get your first 2 buildings up, forcing a restart. The other campaigns dont do that.

I'd consider $2.50 worth it for not having to use Origin.

I'll take it. Free games, mm-mm. I got Tropico last time and I'll be getting this one now. i don't care about origin, I'll treat it like Glyph's launcher for Archeage.
