If you can't handle the graphics, go for human revolution. If you can handle. Buy the first one. But avoid deus ex 2 at all cost.

There are high res texture pack mods for the original Deus Ex. Recommended if you struggle with looking at the UT99 engine for extended periods of time.

Receiver is free on the Humble Bundle website right now. It's a good game.

Humble Bundle added Monaco, The Bridge and Race the Sun.

It doesn't look that bad once you mod it, the story is worth the effort.

Not sure if it should go here, but I'm one of the saps that pre ordered Shadows of Mordor because I like shiny lewt. Am I really going to buy this season pass? (25% this weekend). Where's Total Biscuit when you need him?
|
I would rather wait and pay the 25% extra later when I know its going to be worth it than risk it now when it may turn out to be a lackluster game.
Not that I agree with season passes so I wouldnt buy it anyway

If you follow his YouTube or Twitch channel, then you'll know he's pretty much against all of this sort of stuff on principle alone. The number of glaring (mostly "AAA") failures over the last 3 years are just more ammunition for his stance. I'm pretty sure he did a cast about this not too long ago.

Borderlands 2 Sale on Steam
http://store.steampowered.com/sub/32848/
Borderlands 2 : Game of the Year $10 Borderlands 2 : Base Game $5
DLC For Hardcore players: Borderlands 2 : Levels 62 to 72 $1.64
GOTY contains 98% of the DLC and will take you to level 61. If you want to get to level 72 there is a $1.64 upgrade pack not included in the GOTY Edition.
it takes a long time to get to level 61. by the time u r there the 2nd level upgrade pack will be on sale again for $1.64.
|
any reason i cant buy the GOTY? it's $9.99 with all the dlc but (converted to pesos) it doesnt show in my steam store. i cant add it to cart. country restrictions?
|
Ya, i guess they never localized the GOTY Edition for the SEA region what u can do is buy the Borderlands 2 Base Game for $5, and then buy the Borderlands 2 Seasons Pass for $10.
But then, that is $15. which is 50% more than anyone else has to pay for GOTY Edition.
the main game includes 130 missions. all the DLC combined contains 140 missions.
in terms of experience.. i'd say all the DLC combined is a bit more content than the original main base game. so the 130/140 numerical comparison is pretty accurate.

holy shit paradox is on a crazy sale in steam

Reminds me I need to go play Majesty at some point...have that game on Amazon somewhere...
|
Majesty 1 - hell yeah, one of the most interesting titles in genre, recommended! Majesty 2 - eww...no. Sorry, but it's mediocre at best.

The missions in Mastery 1 are better, but some of the extras in Majesty 2 are fun. There's not a huge difference other than the abysmal mission design.

Paradox games are all pretty good. Eu3 and eu4 have some mods to fix things (eu4 isn't doing as good) ck2 has insane great mods and even the base game is legendary in its own right. Hoi 3 and hoi 2 are those ultra hard core military games (hoi 2 was used at a marines officer training class spoiler navies win hard) both have the best overall mods in gaming. (Black ice and kaiser Reich come at me.
