I bought theme hospital and my mouse keeps getting stuck on the border, plus the normal gamespeed is bugged, so you can only run it on fast or slow. Also known problems. I bought Zeus and Poseidon and some vital animations take 20 times longer than they should, also a known problem. So all of those games are not working properly. I consider GoG a scamsite now, all they do is rerelease OLD titles that were given away for free in PC magazines 10 years ago. They kinda make you expect that the games actually work better than those old versions and they charge nice sums for it, but nothing actually works. just my warning. Dont expect the games on GoG to actually work on modern systems. If this was about steam, I would have agreed. But on gog, they seems to adress these issues. At least with the games I looked for. In my eyes they are just the opposite of a scam site. ![]()

In most cases, GoG only provides compatibility fixes on the most basic level (e.g. specific DosBox setup for DOS games). His complaint was that "all they do is rerelease OLD titles that were given away for free in PC magazines 10 years ago", but there actually is a decent demand for those games and people willing to pay $5-10 for their old favorites, even if they have to invest a couple hours in getting them to work properly.

Note that it's also pretty hard to find many of the older games they have nowadays. Box copies are probably impossible to get a hold of without paying a lot more than you would pay on GOG, and then you'd still have to put in the effort to make them work yourself. You probably can't even find working Torrents of them. As for the problems, I think you've just been really unlucky. I own over 70 games on gog.com - albeit none of the games you mentioned - and I have only ever had a problem I couldn't fix with one of them (Wing Commander IV).

I am a huge fan of the 'you can download this from anywhere whenever you want' model and consider it worth paying for, also enjoy supporting a site which actively keeps old school gaming alive. I have ploughed another 100 hours into BG2 using the GoG version so I consider the price to be completely irrelevant. When compared to some games I have spent £30 on and not even played for 10 hours. is your theme hospital normal speed not too fast? Anyways, i was just mad because Zeus is unfixable, i spend like 5 hours trying. The best i did was forcing the zeus process to only use 5% of my CPU, but that makes the sound unbearable.

I could find the game easily on one of the abandoware websites, with a small tutorial on how to make them work, i thought that buying this from gog would guarantee compatibilty but it's not the case unfortunately.

A lot of those things are theme hospital related afaik, try looking into corsix th. That stuff should work even on the most modern systems: http://code.google.com/p/corsix-th/

I've already looked into corisix-th, they are far from having a feature complete product, and me having to use this kind of ressource proves that what GOG provided was not enough to make it a workable product (ironically i had to dl the cd source from and abandonware website to get it to work). I might be wrong but this was my only purchase on this website, i was disapointed by it so i never bought from it again.

DRM free, easy to manage and fully able to mess around with the game files.

Mass Effect trilogy is also on sale at 19.99 , you have to use the good old EA activating system to get 1 and 2 on origin, I think, maybe just for 1 + Show Spoiler +

For having such a big cast of characters, I think the game is pretty well balanced.
