You wanna know what my optimization tip is? Stay away from big fights, do guerilla attacks instead. Works great for me!

So after getting about 6 hours of play in these are my first impressions:

I need a new PC. The game is pretty and I wanna play on high!, right now can only play low with 15fps.
This game is definatly nowhere near done. I put a bullet into a flower at a biolab and crashed lol. Fell through the world in a lightning twice too. Spawned under a Galaxy that was 1000feet above the ground, fell and died.
I am way to used to console shooters. Modern PC shooters will require some adjusting on my part.
Sniping sucks. Lack of a steady weapon(even for a short while) amplifys the difficulty to pointless levels.
MAXs strike me as being way overpowered. AV in paticular but definatly AI too. Would likly be fine as is if you couldn't dual weild AI/AV weapons.
I know its not fully implemented yet but resourses seem almost pointless. Seriously what are they for other then getting tanks/implants? Also its not clear how you get them.
Hacking. What happened to it? I cap base points by simply being near the terminal...dislike that.
Hud is way too cluttered. I see way to many things on it at once. All the arrows, terminals, resourse points, cap point, veichles, and teleporters. If theres a way to disable some of these I have not found please tell me!!!

If you're talking about weapon sway when sniping, you can hold shift to hold your breath and steady your aim for a short bit.

So I take it servers never went up? I'm pretty sure the key i used was a priority key(which was what the PC game keys were right?). So assuming invites went out a 5PM PST I thought I'd have one. But i don't. I'm a sad panda now.

seems like sniping is way better on a nice computer.

i installed it on my buddys 1200$ rig and i was taking peoples heads off easily.

It will get better though. Optimization for this game is less then good. They got alot of work to do in that department

I just started the beta yesterday and all on med I was getting smooth play. My pc is a i5 2500k, 4gb ram and a 2gb HD6950. Have they done a performance patch or something?

AMD 5750
8 gig g.skill ram @ 1333MHZ

I set everything to low from the get go and had great FPS, never stutters, never crashed and have had no lag. I'm going to start testing different graphic options to see how far I can go without noticeable FPS reduction.

edit: Should probably add the biggest fight I was in was in the Biolab with about 20 TR and 15-20 Vanu, no lag or noticeable FPS drops.

I'm playing on EU3 as TR for reference
