Engi is imo the best class on big maps with alot of vehicles, just because you can anti armor and the guns are still really good. On small infantry based maps, or in team deathmatch if you play that, assault is easily the best.
*edit: on a ridiculous map like metro, just spamming health packs to your teammates can get your score into the thousands.

Personally I don't like the G36C too much, it's a good gun and alot of people use it, I think the scar is better though.

It's my opinion the G36C is better with a holographic and a silencer (kicks less) but when you take the silencer off (especially) the Scar H beats it.

At the moment I prefer the higher clip and less kickback, because I'm naturally bad at FPS due to bad aim. Having the extra mistake forgiveness is pretty nice... although I need to unlock ACOG really quickly because I'm a sitting duck ;/ I got used to the 20 clips on SCAR-H but it's pretty rough losing 1v2s because of the ~10 ammo difference.

Hey guys,
Just saw that there was a TL platoon. I will join up tonight and hopefully we can play some games. I divide my play time between BF3 and SC2 mainly. Only Plat/Diamont in SC2, however I am an excellent BF player.
Let's frag =)

Goddamn these new assignments.
50 AT mine kills, ughhhhh. I don't like assignments that rely on the idiocy of others rather than your own skill.
|
50 mine kills should be fairly easy? I have 39 and I just started playing last week :<

What assignment is that? I don't see it O.o.

I disagree and say Engie is still the best in these cases. Mostly close combat, where carbines will rape ARs. And spamming health kits on metro has nothing on rocket spam... though I guess 320s get the job done too. Assault is still pretty beastly though in close combat if you use the F2K or AEK, but they'll still lose out to the MTAR or just about any shottie at <5m. Assault IMO is the best on bigger maps with few vehicles (Sienne, Damavand, Bazaar, etc.), but fare kinda worse on any of the CQ maps.

I just play engy because I suck donkey at shooting people, so I might as well try to hit the bigger targets, lol.

It'll show up at the end of the round if you scroll down. It doesn't seem to show up in battlelog.

Placing mines is a matter of concealing them, I get tons of kills with them whenever I play on vehicle maps. Hiding them behind static props such as debris works best to the point of being nearly 100% effective. Also, never put more than 2 mines at a location, any more is somewhat of a waste as 2 mines destroy anything short of an AMTRAC.
Outside of that, mines can be placed on dark patches on roads to hide them as well as just over the top of a hill. Grass also makes for nice hiding places.
As long as your AT mines are not in plain sight but still cover the roads, they should get you quite a decent number of kills.

You need 3 for a standard tank, 2 just disables unless you can hammer it with like an RPG, I think.
I usually just hide them in random black spots on the road, in the shadows, etc. Concealing and knowing rush routes. Caspian is mine wonderland because there're so many funky tank routes that are hard for them to see, like the road between B and E (lots of hiding spots), the path through C (grass = hard to see mines), the paths through D (hard to see mines), and so on.

Don't the letters assigned to the certain areas on the map change every game?

I've... never seen that happen? lol.

The only time they change is changing between normal and large conquest.

Thanks for the advice.
I also read wrong; it's 20, not 50, haha. >_>
