Sad but true: More than 25% of my vehicle kills in the mobile AA are tanks, jeeps, other mobile AA et cetera. Definitely a needed patch. That thing was just sick good against everything.

Most definitely a good nerf and that's coming from someone who loves his mobile AA. Although.....

I feel like the flare was just fine the way it was though. I mean yes it's a little difficult to get a jet/heli 1v1 but it's a team game after all..

This is almost too good to be a DICE patch Im sure there will be some bugs introduced!

Big fan of the full auto accuracy nerf, will mean the inf shifts to a more 2142 style firing pattern, which was bursting at long distances.

But raping an entire opposing team 1 v 32 is disproportionally easy compared to how hard it is to kill a copter/jet 1 v 1. A copter/jet should fear mobile AA/stingers, like they do in real life. As it is, unless there are 2 plus stinger users, coordinating with each other, you're almost better off trying to shoot the pilot out of the cockpit with a sniper rifle. If a heli hears the lock-on sound, he should know he has one shot to stay in the area or get shot down. Right now, a copter can basically camp out indefinitely in the same place as long as he's not retarded, with no skill required other than pressing the flare button on queue with the sound alert.

Theres no such thing as a "best" sniper rifle. Some people have dead-accuracy (me) and prefers bolt-action (SV98). Some prefer autos. For bolt-action, I love my SV98.

I'm pretty sure the M98 is "superior", but all the bolts are very close as far as damage and range go, so it really just comes down to preference.

the bipod is never better, the straight pull bolt is faster and better for movement, both of which are superior when trying to amass headshots.

Theres nothing quite like looking down a corridor 50 feet away and getting two headshots in the time it takes for a pull bolt to reload.

Straight bolt is not better if you're sitting still for an elongated amount of time. If you're stationary, Bipod is better if you don't suck at shooting.

Once again, the bipod is never better, it forces you to zoom out to reload, which is slowed overall when taking the 2nd shot, if you hit body, and doesn't allow you to properly judge your shot quickly as you either have to watch the bullet then reload, or just not watch the bullet. Even sitting still and not taking into context the infinite greatness of added movement that any sniper of capability utilizes, the added benefits from a straight pull bolt (speed and efficiency) are overall better than a small amount of stability, especially since stability is negated by the shift key.

I mean, sure I use the bipod on the sniper until I unlock straight pull bolt, but after that its clear which has higher efficiency, but I find it more of a nuisance than anything.

Not sure if serious.

It's really not hard to consistently get headshots unless you're at unrealistic distance, which you should never really be anyways. Straight Bolt is only necessarily if you are a very mobile sniper or if you are at such an unrealistic range you need to check for drop and shit in your shots because it's THAT excessive. If it's the former, great. If it's the latter, congratulations, you're that guy who does NOTHING for his team.

This is wrong. When trying to line up a shot on a guy 500 meters away, not having to wait a second to "catch you breath" every 3 seconds very easily outweighs getting a second shot off a little faster. Most of the time at that range, you won't be getting an accurate second shot off anyways if you hit the first but don't kill. You're basically just praying he doesn't change course, stop for a second, etc. Sure at anything under 300m, the straight bolt wins every time. I play a mobile sniper most of the time, and the stragiht bolt is clearly superior in that respect. But in things like Caspian when all your bases are taekn, and you're just camping out trying to point whore, bipod is the easy choice, it allows you to get off aimed shots much more reliably. I say this as a sniper that goes something like 20-3 every other map, with most points. When you're just sniper dueling, and all opposing snipers suck like ALWAYS, bipod is an easy choice.

Yea, sniper is actually amazing on metro 64players ahah, you get so many kills just by standing in the back, headshotting with every bullet.
