Since beta I've wondered one thing, maybe people who have served can give me an answer: Do soldiers EVER run around in animal mother style like the US support with ammo belts and shit? :D
^^When I saw that I immediately thought of Upham "You gotta be Johnny on the spot with the ammo!"
Upham fucked up everything Just like half the support guys in BF3. It's practically easier to kill an enemy support and drop the ammo for yourself then switch back to your original pack
I know for a fact what server that MAV video was on. I played on it earlier.
A 64/64 Metro server, where all 64 people get to like, the second point and just sit at the two staircases with massive health and ammo packs shooting mindlessly and throwing grenades for 40 minutes. Literally. It's a like 1000 ticket server (rush) too, so it NEVER ends.
Everyone is braindead on it, hilariously, so it explains a lot.

Sounds good for practicing, link the battlelog please?

The most effective way I've seen is to keep them just out of accurate fire range and spam q while threatening the tackle. If the other team ignores you, free kills. If the other team tries to hunt you, you can distract like ~3 guys from the real fight for a very long time by playing chicken. In addition, they're likely to be among the better players on their team, because noobs generally aren't aware enough to look for the MAV or don't realise what a threat it is. Plus, maphacks for your friendlies the whole time.
I've never found stingers to be that effective against them. If the guy still thinks he's playing BC2 and has it up in the air somewhere, sure, but the MAV is most useful in cluttered environments like metro or the damavand tunnels, and down there it's trivially easy to get behind an obstacle to break lock or juke the missile.
The MAV is definitely one of those things I'm very glad most people don't know how to use. I don't think they're OP, but they are disproportionately difficult to deal with when the guy is good. I do think it's a bit unnecessary for them to be a motion-sensor as well, just because their main utility is elsewhere and it makes the T-UGS kind of obsolete.

Damn i love it! Its actually harder then it looks to get kills with it Or im just bad with it, think i flew right thro a guy 5-10 times and didnt get a kill. :/
What is the thing u shoot away with the MAV? cant kill ppl with, and somehow i got lock on a tank with it once, dont know how tho. oO
Its weapon is anti-equipment. It can kill C4 and radio beacons and stuff. I'm not sure why it would have locked onto a tank though.
Okey, thanks.
Yeah, it was kinda wierd, both me and my friend got lock on the same tank, never figured out how tho.
Game keeps crashing, tried to contact EA support and they were nice but vague about what I was supposed to do about it, updated punkbuster and did some other stuff, still having trouble.

I've just posted a new video on my YouTube channel (don't worry it's really short). I scored a jackpot of almost 1000 points in just about 10 seconds on OP. Metro. If you like the video. please let me know in the comments section
Man o man just finished a really long game on Metro conquest and I gotta say if either side loses all flags it is the worst map I've ever been on. Once my side lost Cafe flag we got base raped for about 30 minutes. It was mass RPG/Recon like I've never seen before, I know understand how everyone hates RPG spam on that map so bad, its ridiculous if your team gets pinned down like happened to my side. Also the IRVN scopes in this position is pretty messed up. I feel like I just got two gate proxied TvP on Steppes of War over and over. My brain is gone...TTTT
I thought I read somewhere that MLG was going to start featuring BF3 in addition to COD games. Did I imagine this? Does anyone know the story of MLG and BF3? Is it coming sometime in the future? I'll happily keep watching SC2 at MLG but I would love to see how the pros play BF3 too.
P.S: So psyched for Karkand after seeing that video.
I haven't heard that anywhere, I know of the tournament that is going to happen for console BF3 but I have never heard anything about MLG. I love BF and have played nearly all of them (1942 and BF2 still the best imo ) but I can't imagine what a "pro BF" player would be like or how you could have a real tournament of like 64 people (assuming it would be PC). But hell who knows, MLG already wasted time on CoD so I could see them pushing BF as if it was a game worthy of being called "professional". Like I said though I absolutely love the games, there amazing and are my favorite thing besides BW/SC2 so I don't mean to sound like a dick.

Yes they do hang them like that.
Ammo is generally in backpacks but in a team with two MG men, one ammo carrier and spotter and one shotter the first shots need to be very easily accessable to get fire on target ASAP.
Like when you have to move quickly, the ammo guy has to just throw the ammo "strips" over their shoulder to move as fast as possible. Also if the pack you carry ammo in is to small and you need more ammo, then you have to throw them over your neck.
Same situations appies for teams with only one MG man.

Haha, Metro is ridiculous with anything over 32 players. It's just too much spam and no way to really break through unless you have a committed team willing to zerg up the escalators. I have to wonder if this map was geared towards the consoles, because if it played slower it would be a very different map.
Has anyone got tips for attacking the last base on Tehran Highway rush? We blitzed through all the others but this one seems so insanely hard to break, we just gave up in the end and mortar spammed the rest of the game.
