Yes, you even can lock on another MAV, like using a stinger or javelin.
Made ~5500 Points with the MAV in a rush roundas attacker, while eating dinner :D. They didnt even try to shoot me. Got 32 Sureillance ribbons that game

Mine was doing that earlier. Just logging directly on to battlelog and joining a server brought up Origin after a few minutes with a prompt to login. Good luck

It's also worth noting that if they're fairly close to you when they launch the locked missle, the flares may not be in time.
This is more of a problem for helicopters as jets move fast enough to give them the time even if close (unless head on maybe)

Any1 else having trouble starting the game? Just bought it but now I get stuck at joining server and nothing happens. Can't even start campaign.
[Edit] The Bfe3.exe shows up then just dissapears right away in processes.

Now I noticed that the process says bf3.exe*32 even tohugh I have a 64-bit system, might have something to do with that ?

i bought MW3 even tho I already have BF3 running on max... COD has ruined my attention span, BF3 is just too slow :\
