i love these origin conspiracy theories. it is just so hillarious. it reminds me of stuttgart 21, a german protesting movement against the renovation of a train station. people just love to protest against stuff i guess. what do you think origin is going to do? hack your bank account and murder your sister?

Ok, if you are the only admin, and not the guys I was seeing, then I do apologize to you, that's not fair to you, I'm sure you put a lot of work into the server. But it is always people tagged up that make it always 100% no fun to play. I have to admit I'm used to CS servers and such, where if you joined a "clantag" server, and there were people there tagged up, 90% of the time they were admins/had admin rights(two different things lol). I know TL fosters "abusive" attitudes in gaming just by being very competitive by nature, but BF3 is a game you should play for fun, not to win with a 30-3 score every game. Funnily enough, being a high aggression "all-inner" in SC2 is heavily frowned upon, people more preferring long "macro games" where "real skill" is displayed, but in BF3, all that goes out the window, and you have level 45 chopper pilots camping all your spawns with your helicopter, and it's 100% A-ok.
le 25 levels above anyone going 30-3. In TL, those guys are the admins.
What I would give to have those scores you guys are throwing out. Hell i'd give anything to have a k:d that's positive, let alone like THAT.

I dont understand, it's not really like ninja can do anything about this, he cant exactly ban people for being too good. if air and tanks are that big of a problem then maybe increasing spawn times will help. But to say that people tagged up, playing on the same team makes it not fun is ridiculous, just because you dont want to play it in a competitive way with your mates or a team doesn't mean that everyone else should play as a lonewolf. Most likely the teams are stacking themselves, when you join as a party it tries to put you all on the same team.

Quit with the daddy gamer attitude man. Most of the abusive strategies from BF2 you cant even do, ie camping runways (what is invincible base AA), stealing stuff from main base. And what the fuck is wrong with a chopper circling a spawn point? Its what they do, lock down a point so its easier for the people on the ground to cap. If you cant ward off a chopper with stingers or ground AA or any numerous stuff that can take down air you deserve to get your shit wrecked. There seems to be an attitude with all the casuals that think they should be able to take down anything by themselves. How do you fix it? I literally have no idea. I agree that you can't really punish skill, but, me being punished because I don't have 8 hours a day to play a video game isn't fun either. It's all up to the individual, really. If you people enjoy emptying servers by going 30-3 in a tank, then by all means do it, but don't the rest of you complain about empty servers. I've had multiple games on the TL server where one side got completely dominated by several guys around 20+ levels higher than everyone, aka, levels 40+ when most people were around 10-20. That's ludicrous, and not even remotely fun. If you have that kind of time to put into a video game, why not put into a productive, competitive game, not a game 99% of people play for fun.
TLDR: There are way too many competitive servers out there for me to spend my time supporting a server that is no fun to play 90% of the time.

The sad thing is battlefield 3 is already noob friendly and has had its skill ceiling massively reduced from BF2 and people STILL have this attitude. What are people who do good in vehicles/infantry supposed to do? "Sorry my fine good sirs for being above average skill level, i shall give you false hope for 2 minutes by missing my shots then go back to using my natural skill level".
That said I do agree with when clannies stack a side with 10 people. When my team goes on our server we take whatever side we are given, and it goes the same for when i join a pub, I dont stack. But 30-3 is easily obtainable solo in a tank on a pub lol. Sounds like hardcore servers are right up your alley.

You sound like you just kind of suck at the game and don't really realize it. Choppers are supposed to circle cap points and eliminate the ground forces—that is the entire point of choppers. Hovering around an area and punishing all the enemies is not just a legitimate tactic... it's what you're supposed to do. You people say this....then why do I have fun in most of the other servers I play on? Why are many of them decently even much of the time? I don't really care if someone racks up a 30-3 score, I've done it on occasion in BC2. I care when it's 3 people on the same team with the same ludicrous scores every single game, and the 3 of them have obviously spent more time in the game than the entire other team combined. A wonderfully cute tactic I have noticed from these fine gentlemen is not even trying to cap the last couple points, but just camping their tanks at some relatively unassailable position and just continually bombarding the last capture points for 15 minutes straight without even trying to cap/end it quickly. The pilots on the other side continually wipe your air out, and firing 4 rockets at the front of a T-90A, dying and spawning to try again while they're being infinitely repaired is about as effective and fun as it sounds. That's my and everyone else's cue to leave the server and try one where people actually are playing the game, not abusing the fark out of it.
You sound like you just kind of suck at the game and don't really realize it. Choppers are supposed to circle cap points and eliminate the ground forces—that is the entire point of choppers. I do suck at it, lol? That's why i just leave when all but one of the capture points is taken 5 minutes into the game, and 3 tanks are camping outside your last one, afk with the trigger taped down. I can't take them down, it's a pub, so teamwork is largely ineffective, and i have better things to do with my time than waste my time in a server that is like that most of the time. You say downing is as simple as... coordinating.....I stopped reading right there. You obviously have to coordinate much. Half the time I feel like I'm the only engi on the entire team, and noone listens to anything you say. I'm lucky if squad leaders are pointing out objectives or aren't just afk in spawn collecting free respawn points.
And your last sentence seems to indicate you haven't looked through the strategy section lately. Anything that involves combat before 3 bases is all-in and considered cheesy and makes you terrible at the game.

If they are using teamwork to dominate, you should use teamwork back. and 30-3 isnt exactly a high score...
You keep that up like you always do, and me and everyone else will keep leaving the server like we always do. Again, I don't really give a crap about supporting a particular server. I have about an hour or so each night I can play, if that, and I'm not spending it on a server that is no fun to play on 90% of the time when there are literally hundreds that are fun to play on.
You people say this....then why do I have fun in most of the other servers I play on? Why are many of them decently even much of the time? I don't really care if someone racks up a 30-3 score, I've done it on occasion.
Do you know why those guys in the tanks dont try and capture the point? Because they already have the majority of the flags which means they are bleeding the enemy tickets. If they try and get onto the flag they get smashed by engineers, and thanks to the stupid vehicle disable mechanic, they cant escape. You are basically advocating playing like a mindless idiot.

And the people who advocate that are idiots who don't understand how to play the game, just like how bitching about someone blasting the shit out of a flag long range with a tank or circling a cap point with a heli doesn't understand how to play battlefield. Feed off of nerd tears instead of playing to their shitty level
Rushing in with a tank is retarded, for the reason that was stated above. You're easy fodder for decent engis or c4. If you can keep the flag from 200 yds away, you do so, and make them come out to you.
And that strategy really isn't that hard to defeat either. You can lob rockets back as an engi, or you can just alter the position of where you're trying to cap it and force him to adapt because the cap range is fairly large. It's not easy to get that angle right, let alone trying to pick off a single infantry down there who is moving around constantly.
Is there a decent guide to flying helicopters/planes? I'm perfectly fine in holding my own vehicle-wise, but as soon as I'm asked to take into account a third dimension of movement, I'm boned.
