It seems so... noobish and a stain to be removed from the server (not to insult anyone). You get rid of kill cam, appealing to better players, but you allow people to instantly respawn in their vehicle that was just destroyed? That's the definition of no consequences. I'd agree with this. I'm fairly sure the server owners are vehicle/jet guys, so i can see why it's set that way, but the server settings in general do seem to be a bit of a weird mash of hardcore and noob-friendly options. On that note, I'm not such a fan of disabling 3D spotting. Of course that's a personal opinion, but I really think it's well-implemented in BF3 and adds something to the game without being abusive. BC2 it was a completely broken wallhack, I absolutely agree, but DICE has done a much better job this time around. Plus, it really helps coordination if you don't have voice comms with local teammates.

Personally I use belt speed with the air radar and rocket pods, most of air to air kills are done with the machine gun, and for ground targets I use the rocket pods although the mg works as well. Gunning other jets and helicopters is a good way to get points but if thats too hard for you. take out tanks, burst fire into you get close then unleash hell These are good tips, although I can personally never kill anything on the ground, not with rockets and definitely not with the Machine Gun. I feel like you shouldn't even bother with ground attacks until you get the Laser Bombs, you'll make more points shooting down enemy planes and choppers. When it comes to dogfighting, remember that lower speeds means that you can turn faster. Try to get behind hostile jets and match their speed, then unload on them with your MG. They die VERY fast (2 seconds?) if you hit with every bullet, although keep at it if you can't down them in one burst. Your Heat-Seeking Missiles are kind of useless if your opponent has flares. (They will always have them unless they just started flying) Not even hitting both will take down a plane or a chopper, and the time spent locking-on is better spent just chewing away at them with the MG. It will be a bitch until you get the Flares. You only need 300 points for it though, so it shouldn't take TOO long, even if you get killed alot. Once you get them just keep shooting stuff down! Once you get Rocket Pods you may want to try to take out tanks, but I wouldn't bother until you get the Laser-Guided Bombs.

also its super frustrating that the anti-air rocketlauncher is pretty much useless due to countermeasures and u cant fire it on tanks. the one time i got a jet, i just got owned because i dont have upgrades and i dont feel like dying myself to the point where i am a threat for the enemy from the air ...

Solid advice, but the rocket pods are better Air to Ground atm because the laser guided missle got a huge nerf bat since the beta. One missle does approx. 30% dmg and that will be repaired almost instantly before you can do another run. The best bet for tanks is the Machine gun or the rocket pods. Ive killed countless tanks with the Machine gun, it only takes 1 gun run very efficient. Gain some altitude then bee line it to the tank burst firing to avoid overheating, then as you get close hold down the trigger for the finish. And this is even more true for the Warthog or the Frogfoot, those things shred tanks

On big maps, run around edges looking for snipers, and start collecting dogtags. :-) I LOVE the prone ability, and I abuse the extra hiding power this gives you by basically crawling around behind enemy line just being annoying. Sure, I die a lot to people just running up behind me and shooting me, but I love crawling up on a group of snipers all zoned in on their targets and trying to get them all.

I almost always play infantry assault, no matter the map, and always enjoy it. It's important to understand the weakness of vehicles in certain areas and where infantry can dominate. For example, on Caspian Border, the hilltop objective is a tight space for tanks, it's very easy to get jacked by RPGs and the two stationary AT guns mounted on the top. In addition to it being infantry friendly, it's also the center of the map, with the forest objective close by (also infantry friendly) and checkpoint/gas station not that far of a sprint. If you're looking for huge fire fights, you may be disappointed, but instead you can prosper off defending and attacking control points and some good squad fights. As for the stingers.. they are very strong IMO for a number of reasons. First, you can often force flares just by locking on, and fire after they're deployed. Second, even if he does counter your missile, you can reload, lock on, and hit him again before his flares refresh (unless he gets out of range or line of sight). Third, it only takes one hit to disable jets/attack helicopters (the transport ones can take a beating), which almost always forces an eject. And lastly, that's just one engineer shooting stingers.. there could be more and other fliers locking on. Also later on engineers get the Javelin unlock, which can lock on to ground and air. Not sure if its as effective for air though.

This shit happened ALL the time in BF series, eg karkand BF2, every man and his dog on US didnt bother with the objective, just sniped or player support sitting behind a fence chucking endless nades.

Just find a server that doesn't have a start quota. They do exist. To my knowledge the min players variable isn't visible from the outside, though, so you have to do it the hard way. Set your filters to Caspian and empty and join a few to test; it takes longer than it should because battlelog, but maps load a lot faster the second time in succession. Eventually you'll hit a server that will let you move around. Took me maybe fifteen minutes tops. Once you're in and moving, favourite the server so you can come back, and you're done. Alternately if you want to speed things up, keep an eye out for big maps like Caspian with 1-3 people in them. Chances are those are guys practicing their piloting, and they've already found your server for you.

You need to figure out your Power Supply (PSU) before upgrading. How many total watts is it, and how many amps are their on the 12v?
