ok so some things u can try:

-another browser
-disable ur firewall and try to join a game

i also had a problem that i wasnt able to receive friend join requests. was able to sort it out though by disabling webshield on avast (currently working to solve this issue)

a friend of mine also wasnt able to get any invites using kaspersky(disabling it worked though)

I'm really liking the G3A3 =). Feels like the time put into co-op was worth it. G3A3 and SCAR-H are both awesome weapons.

hmm... so after some intense googling i have not find many people with ur problem(bar disappearing)

so u say the bar disappears as soon as u hit join (question; does battlefield after that maybe start? like does a new program open? do u have the battlefield.exe in ur task manager under processes?)

do u have the newest drivers for ur graphics card? several people reported that updating them fixed the join problem.

No it doesnt disappear, if I join via quick match it finds a game if I unbox the join thingy. But it puts me in a reserved spot and if I join via browser it searches a lil while then disappears. Sometimes I see a process, others not

several people described similar problems and updating their graphics card drivers fixed it for them.
if thats not working either or u already have updated drivers i cant help u anymore

but i will keep searching

but its way more possible. someone linked a youtube video of a guy headshotting someone in the ru base while he was on the antenna (caspian border / beta)

the engi kit and especially RPGs are op again,
seems like dice has learned nothing from BC2 and the beta,

how can the recon kit be so weak, it doesn't even have C4 anymore,

the first snipers are so weak, you hit someone with it from a long distance and they just get away, even when you land a headshot, meanwhile the engi kit gets RPGs and a good assautl rifle (m4a1)

recon kit/snipers should be strong on long distances but most of the time assault rifles or mgs are just as good or accurate,

why would anyone play recon? and you can see from the vote on battlelog and on the servers that only a small minority play recon while 40% play support

engi > assault > support > recon

i think ur mixing things up. the kit ur talking about is the engineer. it has smgs and rpgs. support is the kit with lmgs and ammo boxes/c4 etc.

and i dont agree with the sniper rifles being weak. the first ones arent action bolt rifles and the ones u usually use for offensive sniping. if u want to stay back and kill stuff from a higher range u should pick action bolt rifles (sv98,m40a5 etc). use straight pull bolt and u have a real good sniper rifle that needs 1-2 body shots or one headshot to kill people.

also.. many people in this thread already feel the mk11 and svd being to strong and not actually up like u think^^

i guess its just different playstyles

edit: regarding the recon kit... i think the mav is real strong. u can pretty much keep track of every movement of the enemy and keep them q'ed. its not nearly as strong in pub games though, because to be quite frank who is going to use this information? its just people trying to frag as much as possible. the mav is also able to destroy enemy equipment from aa huge range.

the radio beacon got a huge nerf though in release ( was way stronger in beta: not visible by enemys on minimap. no antenna. lol that thing is now so huge with the antenna and its also louder now.)

tugs are strange. no real use in my opinion. should give him something like the motion mines in bad company 2 ( those were actually useful)

With recon you should be hitting headshots anyway, and you have no business doing long distance sniping because you're not helping your team very much (although it is pretty sweet to kill people from very far away). I feel I do a lot more by using my MAV to light up the map for my guys. Trouble is I get peanuts from that and no recognition. Meanwhile support is hiding in some cranny firing mortar rounds at everyone, seemingly untouchable.

And yeah, SOFLAM is a pretty useless tool whatever way you look at it. It just doesn't cut it, and frankly I don't understand how it made release in its current state.
