People in the thread are worrying way too much. Battlefield 2 took many patches before it could finally iron out the tons of bugs and abuses plaguing it. I've come to expect buggy released from EA Games, and I'm sure BF3 after a few patches will be worlds better than the release version.

I will never be this good with a sniper rifle.

the trick is watching the bullet fly so if you miss you know how to readjust

I've come to expect buggy released from EA Games, and I'm sure BF3 after a few patches will be worlds better than the release version. Except BF2 patches were a largely hit and miss afair Off the top of my head the major things they fixed - C4 Throwing (rightly so, but fuck, destroying squads and squads of daddy gamers as spec ops was a great experience) - Reduced AoE for nade launchers - Prouching (spam proning/crouching so your visible model still looked proned but your first person view was actually at crouch level - aka chest high wall abusing) Things they screwed up - Patch 1.3 ie months of random ranked server crashing - Rego getting worse from one of the major patches - That one patch where they buffed support to the point an insta proning PKM could destory squads from 200m away and then nerfed it next patch - Jet missles being screwed up one patch causing J10 to be almost invincible to missles and the F35 to get hit every single time. - Incorrect team indicator bug that they never could get rid of Expect an awesome game that is rough around its edges. A hallmark of the battlefield series heh

Yeah, it happens every 6 minutes for me with spec's that should run it easily. It's frustrating but I'm gonna wait till the game comes out before I judge it properly. I mean the actual gameplay is soo good. In terms of optimisation it's already better than black ops when it was released (for me anyway) so I'm just happy about that tbh.

I know that mine froze 4/5 times until I installed that driver. New in Release 285.38 Increases performance in Battlefield 3 by up to 38%i. Improves overall stability and image quality in Battlefield 3.

MIGHT GET LUCKY! So far only 1 game i have ever played has gotten this correct: Joint Ops: Combined Arms All the scopes have ACCURATE MILDOTS at 100m a piece... You have the ability to dial your scope 100m at a time, and you have binoculars with a range finder so you can make INFORMED SHOTS... That is why, in that game, sniping is REALLY HARD, because it takes preparation and skill, not this silly checklist of, i know how to shoot from where i camp to that helicopter spawn point!

I am pretty sure that, at least in BC2, it would also announce snipers if they barely miss someone.

What about wind direction and speed? I guess that game never had that too huh? BF series was never about realism.
