the Xbox 360 Version of Battlefield 3 stands at 939,864 compared to 124,805 on the PC Version of Battlefield 3. Pre-order numbers.... PC gamers are a disgrace, rather pirate the game. I mean Dice made this game for PC gamers when the market only cares about consoles, and this is how they get repaid.

didn't think it was that heavily skewed but i guess the obvious factor is pc power, most people prob don't have decent pcs to run the game at at medium~high+ with good fps oh well, we get to enjoy 64caspian/firestorm/everything else :D

I have 3 roommates all of them own consoles i'm the only one with a desktop T_T (and plays ANY PC games for that matter, but they are jealous of the whole no 64 player support and of me being able to play Caspian in the beta ^^)

I doubt its all pirating lol I mean to be fair the pc version if you want to play it you need a pretty powerful pc. But I am curious do you have a link to your source? Just curious is all ^^.

A lot of people are more comfortable with a controller than a mouse and keyboard. They also like playing in their living room than say: at a desk.

It just looks so stupid, but that's also the reason why i can't take games like Halo or CoD seriously when being played at MLG or elsewhere.

Just out of curiosity, if most PC gamers are getting the game via digital distribution then what is the point of pre-ordering? It's not like it will be "sold out" or something. It's my understanding that whether you pre-order or not you still get the digital copy at the same time anyone else would normally get it. The only advantage being whatever the pre-order bonus is, usually some map pack or skin. Console gamers on the other hand actually have to worry about potentially showing up at the store and leaving empty handed so I can see the reasoning behind pre-ordering for them. I don't think I've ever pre-ordered any PC game except Starcraft 2 because I wanted the box. 99% of other games I'll just grab off Steam at my leisure.

My understanding is that Valve and EA were in talks to add BF3 to Steam in time for launch, and the whole debacle about all the EA games being pulled out was over some specifics relating to DLC distribution. I'm sure that if a BF3 preorder were on Steam those numbers would be significantly higher.

I feel the same way, unless I see an awsome pre order bonus and I'm sure I want the game, I don't see any point in pre ordering other then showing your support to the game, but I still rather want to wait for the reviews. (plus you can buy BF3 keys already for 38 euros if you know where to look ^^ )+ Show Spoiler +
