Yeah the UI is a bit rough still, it really really bugs me how you cant pull up classes or squads while your dead and all you get to see if the guy who killed you. Also another thing i noticed if you cant quit the game like esc - menu - quit unless your spawned : |

BFBC2 had the same for god knows how long. You can't close the game if you are dead or if the round ended. You have to wait till the new round starts. Fucking sucks. And this is how EA wants it to be apparently.
Not to mention the thing Pasta-man said, a-n-n-o-y-i-n-g. Well, everything that has something to do with ESC is buggy right now.

You can do it in BFBC2. Enter lets you change classes when you're dead and I know for sure you can exit as well when dead.

Yep, BC2 had it like that for month or two, even longer. Thats all i remember from the time i played that game.
I think there should be the same feature in BF3 with the classes (clicking enter). Now there isn't right?
I just wish it could be like in bf2 when it pulls up map+class/weps+squad all with one button and then having tabs to switch, but i think im asking too much from dice/EA lol

E: Or what SneakyAZN said above.
Yep, there isn't for BF3. I need to play more though, Im stuck doing this paper.
Had to system restore after crashing multiple times with the BF3 ATI driver, so I've concluded that it isn't working perfectly yet. Hopefully 11.8 will work fine for me atm.
I don't know if this has been posted but just to let everyone know the first unlock for engineer is indeed a shoulder mounted anti-air rocket launcher.
I would like to say in case any one from DICE reads this (doubt it though) that it makes no sense to have taken the APC out of the Metro map. What is the point of the Engineer class now? I know it will be useful in the full game but still what is the thought behind running a beta and making one of the classes so useless that no one tests it out? We should be testing the vehicle repairing etc. to see how it is balanced.
I really hope Caspian Border gets released and I get to go back to my beloved Engy class. I'm using Support now because its much more useful to have grenades than RPG when there are no vehicles, but I feel dirty, cheating on my Engy like that.
TB mentions that alpha players did not like Operation Metro
watching BF3 streams, I'd have to agree and say that DICE should have chosen a different map to showcase BF3 because even though this is a beta, the beta is definitely for the purpose of showcasing BF3.
Operation Metro just seems very linear, unopen, and has no vehicles.
in BC2's beta, the map was Port Valdez and while it had its own share of problems, it definitely felt more open than Operation Metro, had lots of different vehicles, and destructible buildings were very much a gameplay element in Port Valdez.
Operation Metro looks really lacking in comparison.
Apparently destruction 2.0 isnt in yet, and the particle beams are medium only.
Still looks amazing, have applied to the TL platoon, played for an hour or so last night, was really good Pity about the game mode and map, but ah well. Plays good on high settings, 460gtx sli

Same here, but I'm more anxious to test it on different maps to see if there are any changes (probably are).
Does anyone else encounter the bug when you die and respawn, the screen is blue?
