Or you could invest in a high-quality joystick and practice flying in a flight simulator with it, then practice for hours flying on empty maps before jumping into a game and becoming an invincible pilot.
Or at least that's how I usually see pilots in BF1942 and BF2. Either noobs who crash within 10 seconds or seasoned pros who survive during the entire game. I am the former rather than the latter.

Think again sir. You've got more to worry about then some person who flies the crappy "real life jets" ( ). You may have a chance at out flying me in the jets though, I was never really good at that, although my short time flying in P4F I was able to get not bad. Heli flying is my specialty.

All of the guys using the TS are in the same servers. It's the legacy TS though, not liquid. Just throwing it out there if you want someone to play with. Info is in the platoon page.

Played a couple rounds. Don't even know where to find settings of any kind, so can't check those but it runs smoothly and looks fucking awesome.
Also, incredibly annoying bug with the random teamkills outof nowhere. a third of my deaths so far are from that bug.
