I'll be checking it out in an hour or so when I get home from work. Might be a good start as a "go to" server for TL peeps.
Wow that's pretty sweet. I need to check that out.
I'm really getting into Search and Destroy now. Just went 15-4 on Array with the bolt action sniper. It feels a lot like the sniper from CoD2 to me, although not nearly as powerful (which is a good thing, I guess).

The game has been criticized nonstop because of the missions in Cuba. Today in my university (i study laws 3rd year) a lot of ppl were talking about it, some papers are "insulted", even blaiming the US for trying to achieve in a game what they didnt in fifty years, theyre saying a lot of negatives things about COD, the usual, is a game that induces violence but others are just plain ridiculous, some people here took the game seriously, more info and sources later, let me play the game.
The killing Fidel Castro Mission has been taken in a very negative way.
Well, you don't even kill Fidel. And secondly, it's based off something that actually happened. They may as well burn all the history books as well.

ehh no it didnt happen. Fidel does have over 400 assessination attempts but the Black Ops history is entirely fictional, the confindential nature of the cold war era made it possible for the producers to make an entirely fictional history, i do not want to take sides, but it is not funny when one (if not the) of the most played games in the world has in the very first mission an assessination attempt on a still alive leader, not only that, but you are killing Cuban troops and they are seen as "the bad guys" very bad guys actually, and guess who are the heroes?, cuba aint no Soviet Union, they are still here and please, they are no way near north Korea in dictatorship, so their concerne is well argumented.

The killing Fidel Castro Mission has been taken in a very negative way. is it just the part where she still stays loyal to castro after he uses her as a human shield, then the soldiers make some comment about that's how things are down here? it seemed pretty much like game stuff, nothing serious... didn't they see MW2? These guys make a big deal out of nothing really, ofc they shouldn care or at least make a few statemants. The problem here is that EVERYTHING is mixed with politics, so every little thing aimed at the Country is taken as an hostility to the country..hehe is funny actually but hey, to each its own

It reminds me of the "taliban" controversy with MOH which was mind numbingly silly imo. However, I do agree that the game seems to portray Castro and Cubans with a typical negative and erroneous American Cold Warrior attitude. Lol. Just try to picture it as really bad propaganda and nothing personal.

meh, I'd never be offended by this. I'm not offended when you have to shoot nazis in some WW2 game. Unless you're really freaking retarded, you're never going to make a connection between the guys you shoot in the game and the real guys in the real world. Just because you shot nazis in WW2 games it doesn't make you think that Germany is still nazi-land. And if it does, you're an idiot anyways and nobody should be offended by your stupidity.

game is laggy as balls but once they fix it all it will be quite fun. crossing my fingers for competition
p.s. do a beta next time treyarch. jeez

I haven't gotten the chance to get the game yet, and I'm just curious about some of the guns. In other Cod games, the stats that the game creators give are notorious for being absolutely wrong. So after looking at a site with all the guns and stuff, I was wondering how the gun balance is. Did people already find those guns that are obviously the best, like UMP in MW2?
Also after looking at the site again I really like the perks and equipment stuff. Nova gas, willie pete's, and decoy nades look like a cool switch up from the other games.
And no more scavenging claymores thank god.

You can scavenge claymores once you get scavenger pro. The guns are alright, although I've pretty much only played with assault rifles atm. Great game so far, best since CoD4 for sure!

it's really laggy, yeah. but also fun went now throught some of the campaign and a lil bit multiplayer and of course it's not perfect and has some bugs and stuff... but which title doesn't?
i should've really played the cod titles more frequently because i found out i really suck at the b-o multiplayer... but i guess it's like almost every videogame...invest more time and you'll get better

"Ability: Replenishes your ammunition and lethal grenades when you walk over blue scavenger bags that are dropped by dead players. This won't resupply launchers or equipment. Scavenger is very useful with weapons that run out of ammo quickly.
Pro Ability: Doubles your starting ammo with extra magazines. This also replenishes your tactical grenades."
Off of their site, says specifically that equipment isn't replenished. The equipment their site lists is c4, claymore, jammer, the spy camera stuff, etc. The tactical nades are concussions and stuff, and lethal are frags and semtex's. Those you can get more of.

I think youre freaking retarded for making a conection betwen the nazis and the actual germany, there are so many wrong things in that argument i dont even know where to start.
Its not the same something that happened in global conflict over 50 years ago than the cold war where a Black Op (you do know what a black op is do you?) was to kill the leader of a country and on top of that, make them look like the bad side of the conflict to justify the agression. Almost nothing has changed in Cuba since the cold war era, Fidel is still the leader (although not "president") of Cuba and such a bad propaganda is not justified, so stfu and do not talk about something you do not know about, even today, a lot of people dont even know who Fidel Castro is, after the CoD, do you know what will they say? Oh yea, the son of a bitch dictator that uses a girl as human shield, is that neccesary? the man aint dead yet LOL wtf
if i recall correctly, A LOT OF COUNTRYS have done worst (even banning the game) for minors offenses than this, Russia had some plces where MW2 was Banned beacuse of the mission of the airport (shit, you only kill russians civilians, in bo you kill the militia that was defending the country from an open atack from the cia), other middle east country i dont recall banned the game entirely, The US banned MoH in military bases because in multiplayer you could choose the taliban side, What the fuck. And germany........oh Germany, that is the country the censors the most games ive ever seen, just google Germany bans x Game and youll see, here, let me do it for you: http://www.google.com.cu/search?q=germany bans call of duty&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&client=firefox-a
There you go. Cuba IS NOT FUCKING BANING ANYTHING, they are just insulted, which is normal for them to be, fuck, your country does A LOT OF SHIT OVER NOTHING, and you have the balls to say that about mine because THEY ONLY COMPLAIN? Fuck you sir.

The game is extremly broken for about 80% of the people on pc (mass stuttering , or image spikes, whatever you'd like to call it). For some people it runs smoothly ( me not being one of them sadly ) , wether it being people with really high end computers or 1/2 year old rigs. The problem is on the coding of the game, people with extremly high end cpu's are having 100% usage in game, this is ridiculous for a game that runs on the Quake 3 engine, it shouldnt be even using 60% of these high end cpus. For me , its actually playable with some stuttering more or less heavy depending on the map im playing (mode, people in the server) , but for some people ( even those with extremly high end pcs) , the game just freezes every 3/4 secs for one or two seconds. Its impossible for us to tell you if its going to be playable for you because its basically the fucking lottery, really. A patch is expected this week or the next, there is alot of whining on both the steam forums and the cod forums, you wouldnt believe the things i've seen lol.
