The first video games I were exposed to were LoZ 1 and 2, and Dragon Warrior. My wee old grandmother had played through them a dozen times, gotten every heart, found every secret, she was a game guru back then. Mario didn't become big for me until my parents found our SNES and Super Mario All-Stars. For 2 or 3 years of my life, playing video games meant playing one of the games in Super Mario All-Stars usually. Sometimes it was a hockey or basketball game, but not as often. And then we got an N64. The big boy games were mine! Star Fox 64, Goldeneye, Battle Tanx: World at War, and Super Smash Bros. As far as my old computer went, Dune 2000, 80s Arcade Games, Worms Armageddon, and an old, purple disc of games who's name I can't remember but included such gems as Kill Barney and Gravity Well. EDIT: And pokemon. :3 | ||

But I saw those Mario vs. Sonic, Nintendo vs. Sega commercials I absolutely HAD to have an SNES or Genesis. My parents were savvy enough to pick up on Nintendo's more family friendliness even then so they got me an SNES. Super Mario World holds a special place as the game that got me addicted to gaming. | ||

I think it's just the immense popularity of OoT that it kind of overshadows Majora's Mask. Plus, I used to think getting all the masks was a pain in the ass, but it's actually not as bad when you're not a kid :D | ||
