They both have quests you must do for skills. Evans get new skills every 10 levels, Aran get it like any other class.
Aran are very special, you just press your basic attack key a trillion times to get combos, and later on you can do <>v^ combinations with your basic attack to do some other attacks.
Evans are mages, but they have a dragon which evolves every 10 levels (giving you new skills), they're kinda icky now but they'll be better in the Chaos Patch.
Dual Blades are dual wielding bandits, but they're stronger aswell.

you do know that a the +w att buff is based on your highest + 2nd highest character regardless of KoC/Adventurer ETC.
i.e 2nd highest lvl gives buff to the 1st and
the 1st highest lvl gives buff the ALL characters on that account except itself.
