This isn't entirely true, there are just periods of time in which it's going to be laggy for everyone. Me and my buddies who practically live right beside eachother with fast internet get lag at some periods of time and don't at other times. There definitly is something wrong with the nexon servers, I don't quite understand it because it APPEARS to be peer to peer but it can't be. There is some kind of mix or something I don't really know.
It was not like this in the Closed beta also.

Almost every Nexon game I know is like this. When you enter a dungeon with a group you are directly connected with the host. When you are in Town, your on the game server.
Besides that, there is no point playing the game on normal. Hard really isn't challenging and I cannot wait until I get Hero mode because its supposed to be much better. I'm surprised there are so many groups playing on norm and not hard. :/

I know it is peer to peer, but there is some issue with the lag at random times. And I'm playing with people who live 5 minutes from me and have 20mb connections and great computers. I've talked to a lot of other people that have the same issue, again this was not there in Closed beta. In closed beta there was no lag. (And I play with the same people always.)
Also we've tried it with people on the same network and a fast connection. The host has no lag, the other person has 1 bar, even tho they are on the same connection. Hopefully they fix it.

Hard is the same as normal except you cannot see the health bar of the boss. It isn't a big deal really, especially for beta. People see the groups on normal first so the groups start faster.

i created an account a few weeks ago, but couldn't download the game because i didn't have a key, now i went on the website, and for some reason it let me download and install the game, but my problem is that when i click on 'start game' it says "try logging on, on the website first" for a sec then it says "cannot connect to server" anybody know why it's saying that (btw i was logged on the website when i was playing the game)
or were the servers just down?

I thought the damage was different too. I played normal only once and that was during the Decisive battle. Normally the Chief can take you out in one hit with his sweep and he only took half my damage that one run. Think it was my 2nd try doing it. Anyway, I haven't done normal ever since. Not sure if the experience is any different. Perhaps someone can enlighten me on that.

You shouldn't click anything that says "Start Game". You should log in when you are on the Vindictus page, then you should see East Server, or West Server. You click one of those, and it loads the game.

Yeah, i meant i clicked on the east/west server buttons, btw when i am ingame, and go to the options, i think there is one called 'secondary PW' and when i try to change it (i dont even know what it does) it says' you must be logged in to change your secondary PW'

Seriously fun game. Also - somewhat surprisingly - I'm having next to no lag, at all, from the UK, even in groups (with US peeps); though that was only really the case after I switched to using a VPN. :D
The only gripe I have is this: I want more pack space! >_<

+ Show Spoiler [Proxy/VPN Info] +A note to folks using proxies, though: if they're not High-security/anonymous proxies (and that's assuming they work at all), don't be surprised if they're blocked within 24 hours, by Nexon (even the high-sec/anon ones were being blocked within 72 hours, tops). They're fairly quick about ensuring geo-restricted regions don't get access and my notepad had well over 100 IPs that just won't work any more. On more than a few occasions, I was kicked out of game mid-session, as the IPs were locked out while I was using them. :/
If you have access to a VPN instead of an "HTTPS/Socks proxy," make the VPN your preference (and try to ensure it's already active before you access the website main-page with the login and east/west buttons - or you start getting "you used IP x.x.x.x before, now you're on IP y.y.y.y" warning messages that lock you down over a couple of days. :S). That and the lag via HTTPS was noticeable (unsurprisingly) and pretty damn annoying.
Last but not least: thanks to iLLusive for the beta keys a few of us used. Cheers! =)

Did anyone else get bored of this rather quickly? At first I thought the gameplay was awesome, but it never really went anywhere after that. It's like playing Diablo 2 but never going past the level 12 skills, and only seeing 4 different monster types.
