So in order to make sure that you aren't taken down by a single groin shot in a fight, you take thousands of kicks to the nuts over a period of years to build up a resistance? I'm just going to say it. Any gained benefits from this technique, not worth it.

I'm pretty sure you have harsh downsides taking a similar training.

As crazy as it sounds kicking the groin is a legit strike. Its not allowed in most fights but in kung-fu sparring it is. It happens alot of the time when someone kicks, because whenever you kick the groin is open. It only takes a couple of decent kicks there to make them stop kicking, limit flexibility and even slow down their footwork. Not to mention that horrid taste you get in your mouth when you get nailed hard. As for that issue overall... i doubt theres anything in america thats close to real shaolin. MMA is just sport fighting brought together, kung-fu came from pure bloodshed over thousands of years.

Err i dunno how accurate the above video is. I think those that practice getting kicked in the balls actually develop muscles to ascend their balls into their body cavity out of harms way. I seriously doubt you can take serious force to them without getting injured. Its not so much that the pain isn't getting transmitted and more that actual balls arent being kicked.

That said I'd still take a MMA fighter lol. Those that practice this 'art' have to be singularly focused and prepare their bodies beforehand, but you cant really steel yourself against being knocked out/choked out.

How to prepare for choke:

My question is: How would balls of steel save you if you get punched in the face?

if you can survive a kick to the nuts, you can survive punches to the face with similar training.

there are also spots much more vulnerable than face. The throat is one such example:

Omg, when I watched 'Shaolin Soccer' I thought it was made up!
In the Sports science clip, notice how they just keep repeating the scream over and over "Waooh Waooh Waooh Waooh" so it etches extra deep into our memory :-)

So what, are you going to go in balls-first? Pelvis permenantly thrust forwards with your arms covering your body?

Not very effective imo.

Edit: Also look up the cremaster muscle.
